I began contact with Mike Sabie over Yelp and then on text and email. He has been extremely difficult to work with and missing dates & arriving leaving on his own accord with incredible amounts of excuses and very rude conduct. He provided a contract to handle the signage and I have paid for the sign, but he has dragged the installation with multiple reasons which are not my fault. On multiple occasions his conduct has been very predatory to me as a customer. His date of install was supposed to be July 20th. However, he did not provide any proof of reason for delay aside from word that he did not receive the sign parts he needed, then sited that the weather did not allow. He did not begin the job until very late over 2 weeks from the date & he installed then left the sign unfinished on Saturday August 6th and did not finish the work. He took down our old fully operational and lighting sign and left his sign with no trim caps and no electrical, so the sign would not light at night. He missed coming back on the 7th after stating he would, then he missed the 8th for coming back, then after I had constantly tried to get a finishing date, he stated that he had COVID. Then after his COVID symptoms subsided, he came to the store a second time on the 11th and still would not finish the sign! He has left my store losing money from having no sign for several nights reducing my overall tickets from incidental customers. He has since again left our store without a sign that lights for now almost two weekends in a row citing that he could not finish the electrical due to spiders and lack of walkway. We had since checked the area for spiders and have since debunked his story that he could not access the area to provide electricity to the sign as my staff have access the space perfectly fine. Enough excuses. Have some urgency about our business!Business response

I responded however it looks like it was over the time limit so it did not record.
The customer made this complaint in order to justify his stealing of my work. His building is out of code however before finding that out I removed and old sign and installed a replacement and the customer is refusing to pay for that work. Unethical is the best word to describe this scam artist. Stealing a mans work in order to afford the extra expense he has to pay for is low brow but he owns a yogurt store so what else can I expect. Im limited on words here so there is nothing left to say. He is stealing my work so that should explain the basis for this complaint is false and made up in order to create a narrative to steal my work. End of story.

He is not qualified to handle this type of work and took on more than he could even handle or properly provide any proper service for and feigned experience and professionalism. He did not finish the sign install several times and left it derelict. Very unprofessional and is lying that anything had been stolen. Even after "traversing" said old building to the space to wire, he could not properly wire it and left it a mess which another company had to redo our sign entirely with no complaint whatsoever about issues with access.
The entire cost of the sign was deposited from the beginning and PAID IN FULL. He did not finish the sign, did not properly space the sign, left it unfinished with trim caps missing, and unwired and unlit. Did not arrive on time ever and was always unreliable and late. I had to hire another company to finish the job for which he abandoned even leaving his things at the store for days. He left the sign undone and did not finish the installation for which his own invoice states that payment for install is due when the sign is installed "and" lit, of which, none of that was done. Very unprofessional and regret ever having contacted this person. Not welcome and would be counted as trespassing should this person even step foot near our store. No integrity whatsoever and for him to demean based on the business they're making a sign for, how can you expect anything lower? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

Customer has stolen over $1000 worth of work removing the old sign and installing the new one. He is trying to justify the theft by making ridiculous claims but the facts remain the same and facts do not care about your feelings buddy. Fact is you stole my work from me and you are an unethical scam artist and lousy business person. This guy actually uses a few different fake names when doing business which should have tipped me off from the start. For the first week I was in contact with him I assumed his name was Something other than his real name since he had introduced himself as a different person and it was all online and by phone as he never did meet face to face nor would ever answer the phone and his voicemail was full everytime I called him. All red flags for scam artist so that is my fault for seeing the signs and ignoring them.
The only thing I will say is during this install I came down with Covid 19 and got back to work in 3 days however I was still positive and working in 110 degree heat while positive for covid probably could have killed me and the migraine headaches were nearly unbearable so I was a bit slower on my feet during that time. I will not apologize for that but that is the level of unethical this guy is.

Did not steal anything. Did not finish his work and had to find another contractor to finish the install and have to furbish missing trim caps. How can you honestly ask for payment after you left the sign unfinished for weeks?! You gotta be out of your mind. He did not abide by the contract. Worst customer service of all time and seriously lacking any sort of integrity as to workmanship, timeliness, or proper professionalism. You wob’t provide an amicable answer to this complaint, just stop replying!
