This incident stems from repairs that occurred a few years ago, but it is about customer ********************** for a problem with the repairs that was just discovered.A few years ago, my wife was in a minor accident and the insurance company suggested that we go to Service King for repairs. We did. The folks there did what appeared to be an excellent job repairing the front of the car. Unfortunately, a piece of tire kicked up on the freeway 3 days ago and damaged the same area as the repair. I took the vehicle to another body shop. They were very quick to show me that the car had been glued together. They then told me that wasn't acceptable, and I should go back to Service King and demand that they replace the area that had been glued together. There is a very good chance that my car would have held together properly, had it not been glued together rather than using connections that are used everywhere else--including the factory.I then went back to Service King. When I came in the door, I asked to speak with a manager. The man behind the reception desk suggested that he try to help me first. I agreed to the idea. The man then came out and looked at my car and the glue. He then told me he would go inside and see what they could do.I waited a few minutes and came back inside. (It was about 105 outside)The man then returned and told me that there was nothing they could do.These are the reasons he gave me:*The original technicians in the shop had all left employment at Service King including the tech that worked on my car. He said that he therefore couldn't talk to him and find out why he glued my car together.*"Due to the time of the repairs had occurred"The entire interaction was very non-confrontational, but as I left I told the man to tell his manager :I am not a jerk, and I am sorry, but I am going to have to go to the Better Business Bureau with this, because this isn't right. " The man said ok and I walked out.Customer response

Please withdraw my complaint. The manager and I have come to an amicable agreement.
