I had contacted Core Landscape to review a previous job they did when then recomended laying soaker hose in place of my existing drip system in (2) different locations. The job they did, did not water the area sufficiently of equally so I wanted them to lok at it and see what could be done. There were also some leaks I needed to have repaired and included that in the work order. They scheduled an appointment to come out and review and repair the issues for Wednesday, March 13th @ 11:00 AM. They were late to arrive and finally they called to ask if they could send out a third party to aid in the repair. Upon agreement, they finally showed and proceeded to reccommend changing the entire etwork they previously recommended and installed. I agreed to that thinking why did they recommend and install the original configuration. They were not equipped to proceed with the recommendations and I was told they would return early Friday, the 15th, to completed the order. I waiting un'til around 10:00 AM and no one showed up. I called the office sget an update and they had the work crew call me.on the They said they would be here before noon and again did not show up. Again they called, checking on the weather conditions and was told they were on the way. After a couple of hours, I contacted them and was told they were 'just around the corner'. Needless to say, again no one showed up.I once again contacted the office and ask to be updated to the situation. I asked if the original personnel would call me and let me know what was going on. I have had no further conversation with them at this point.I now would like them to participant in their obligation and fix the issues ASAP without charge now.

Our original ******* grass is overtaking the new sod installed by Core. There was incomplete removal of the old ******* grass by their workers, before installation. Additionally, we were not advised by Core representatives that our existing in-ground sprinkler heights were not tall enough to adequately provide water to the deeper sod. Barren spots in the sod have resulted. The vendor was contacted to ask questions about our sprinklers, but did not return calls. They were also contacted regarding the ******* grass overgrowth, a service visit was scheduled, but the vendor failed to show at our house at the appointed time. We filed a complaint with the ************************ only to learn that Az Statutes do not cover "soft" items like plants and sod, only brick and mortar type complaints. Even though the Registrar contacted Core Landscaping representatives about our complaint they did not make any attempt to contact us or to offer any assistance or compensation.Just wanted you to be aware of the poor quality of work and the unresponsiveness of Core Landscaping. We have hired another vendor to dig out the offending ******* and lay new sod, for an additional cost to us of $500. We have already paid Core Landscaping $3000.

    Core Landscape LLC Response

    09/21/2022

In reference to the above review, our response is below. 1. We were contracted to remove old ******* grass with a sod cutting machine which was completed. The old turf and debris were removed from the site. 2. Sprinkler height/modifications were not part of our contractual agreement; although, we did perform repairs on the sprinkler heads at no additional charge. 3. Barren areas in the new sod are a maintenance issue. We cannot control the methods and means of how this turf is maintained once we install it. ************ turf is delicate and requires specialized maintenance practices which have likely not been followed. 4. We showed up on our follow up date for a second appointment. The customer did not answer their door. At this time, we did not have a phone number for this customer, only an email address. Multiple emails were sent to this customer and we have yet to receive a response to date. Through quick research on the web including from ************************* ********* office, there are several ways to manage ******* grass growing through ************. The best and most effective is to ensure that the ************ is being maintained properly to overtake the *******. If ******* grass is returning, its evident the ************ is not being maintained properly and would not have the ability to out perform the old Bermuda. Blades on a lawn mower must be very sharp to cut ************, Mowing height need to be as much as 4" and the turf should be mowed twice per week. Grass clippings should not be bagged, rather falling back into the grass and soil to add nitrogen back into the sod. Most 'Mow and blow' landscape companies our customers contract are not capable of maintaining this particular type of grass and likely travel amongst many houses on a daily basis contaminating yards due to their lawn mowers being used and not cleaned between uses. These are just some of the ways ************ could be maintained to help alleviate ******* re growth. It has been documented ******* can root up to 10' below soil levels and fully removing it is impractical. The most effective way of eradicating ******* grass is to ensure the new sod is healthy, maintained properly, and can out perform the old grass. Unfortunately we have absolutely no control over any watering schedules, maintenance practices, or on going care a customer will provide to an organic, living item we install. It is evident this sod has not been maintained properly hence why the ******* is returning. We are sorry this customer is dissatisfied and encourage them to maintain their turf properly moving forward for the best chance of future success with their new sod.
