Date: Sept. 4, 2021 Landscaper (unlicensed) took a $400 deposit (personal check) . The job was for $500. He was supposed to get gravel to place in our backyard. As of this date, never delivered gravel. Will not refund our money. Said he got a credit from the gravel co. When he was asked to send us a copy of this so called "credit," he never responded. He just ignored this whole issue, doesn't answer phone calls or e mails. We filed a complaint with the Oro Valley Police (AZ). They said they would try to call him. Also said, it is not a "criminal" issue. This must be worked out between him and us. If he doesn't respond, how can we do this?Customer response

We understand you are having an issue with an unlicensed contractor.
This would not be Arizona Tree and Landscaper Service, Inc. We are fully licensed, bonded and insured. Typically we send out crews with two or more persons, not an individual.
I have checked our records and do not locate your names or address in our files. We always do an estimate prior to scheduling work to be performed. Also, we do not ask for down payments on work to be performed.It would be helpful if you would forward the person's name and a contact number he/she gave you, as we have a trademark on our name so if an unauthorized person uses our name we can prosecute.
We would appreciate you removing this complaint from our BBB record.
