Description of Complaint:on jan 4th 2023 we had booked a room thru hotels.com for a room at motel 6 **************** ***********, when we checked in we were asked if we had a pet we said yes a small dog, thats why we rented from motel 6 they claim pet friendly and have stayed at many motel6, she said she cancled our room and gave a differant room , she told us we would see that cancled not to worry. we brought our dog to the room to get her out of the heated car, we took turns getting things from our car, i told my wife i would walk across the street to get food, while i was gone for just 15 minutes i get a call from the motel 6 front lobby screaming at me over phone about my dog barking, i called my wife she said she went out to the car for something, when she came back to the room she heard our dog bark but also seen someone with 3 dogs walk by and thats why our dog barked, i was not happy about my rude phone call so i took the dog down nto the lobby to show them my little dog she is not a ******, but its pet friendly at motel 6. i took my dog to the car to get her out of the situation and filthy motel she is cleaner than that motel, when i went back to the motel i was talking to other people about their bad experience compared to mine, and the lady that runs the motel 6 came out the door screaming at me and said not to talk to these other people, i told her i can talk to whom ever i please, i waited for a 1/2 hour and went down to the lobby and very ******* apoligized for the whole matter, because i dont like hostile territory,there was a terrible smell from the hall and cockroaches, wires sticking out of walls where smoke detectors should be, very discriminitory against pets read their reviews, they charge people after they stay for pets. there must be 6 people living in the back room and others have mentioned this on thereviews.Desired Settlement:Business response

As per Motel6 policy, we are definitely pet friendly and customers cannot leave pets unattended in the room.
The said dog was barking in absence of Mr. ****** and others for which we received complaints from the guests staying in nearby rooms. Under the said circumstances we have no options except to call and address the complaint received by us. We were never rude to him.
We have charged Mr.****** for disturbance to other guests as we have to compensate other guests for disturbance, which we are refunding to him, $ 150/- refunded to Mr.****** credit card on file..
After this incident the said guest was given the option to checkout if the motel and motel room is not up to his satisfaction. He decided to stay in the motel and after refund of other charges only room rent for the day is charged to him.
