Business provides flight training. I pre-paid a block of 10 hours flight time. I used 5.6hrs leaving 4.4hrs remaining. I had booked 3 lessons on 10th October to use up my remaining time. Earlier that day the business changed my instructor and moved my flight time around but that was no issue. When I arrived at the airport for my lesson I believed things would proceed as planned. As I began to pre-flight the aircraft the new instructor told me that we could not fly the remaining 4.4hrs as he was tired and had been flying all day & also had an early start the next morning. There was also not enough fuel currently in the tanks and he didn't want to follow my suggestion that we refuel at some stage. He then told me the owner would not allow us to fly as planned because I had not submitted a flight plan 48 hours in advance. My regular instructor only told me the day before that 24 hours was needed and he had obtained approval from the owners son. I did not agree with this new situation but I mainly wanted to just fly my 4.4hrs and again asked if we could refuel the plane and thus be able to finish my pre-paid hours. This was not allowed. In the end, we only flew 2.7hrs leaving 1.7hrs on my account. I told the instructor that night that I would need a refund and was advised to email the company. I did so that evening and received a reply the next day asking why I wanted a refund. I replied that I was leaving town to work out of state and would not be able to complete my training and wished to have a refund. They have not replied since 11 October. I would just like a refund for the 1.7hrs flight time that they didn't allow me to complete.
