The roof was repaired at this home. The first problem was a roof leak after repair. This was fixed to our satisfaction. The second problem is that a small portion of the repair (as outlined in the contract) was never done. We have contacted the company at least 10 times trying to get them to finish the repair. We have been told over and over that someone would call (most contact was with a gentleman named ***) but we have also called the main number many times as well. We even sent a demand letter via registered mail to the agent of service in ********* and it was returned as undeliverable. This is a very small area that was overlooked and we would just like them to return and finish the job.

**************** is in the process of resolving this issue.

There are 2 companies involved in this insurance claim.  One is ****************, public adjusting company based in ** (License #: **********, and the other is **********************, general contracting company based in AZ (ROC 318791).  Im writing on behalf of Advosy Construction.  Advosy Construction does not file insurance claims for homeowners.  This is done by ****************. Advosy Construction is a preferred vendor for ****************.
Advosy Construction didnt file the claim and didnt charge a fee for supplementing.  This was done by ****************.  Can you please dismiss this complaint for Advosy Construction.
**************** is resolving any pending issues.  Last email that was sent to the homeowner from **************** (not Advosy Construction)(I was made aware of this by ****************) (excerpt since there is a character limit on this response field of **** characters):

... I looked over the financials on this case and **************** (SA) owes you $1,170.49. Here are the details of the financials for this job below.

      Final Appraisal RCV ($17,507.25) - Non-recoverable depreciation ($3,201.24) - Deductible($1,000) = Final ACV payout by insurance ($13,306.01).
Insurance paid out $13,306.01: $1,993.56 (SA never received this check, not sure if homeowner received it, first check sent out by insurance, initial approval) + $744.03 (SA deposited, 2nd check sent out by insurance) + $10,568.42 (SA deposited, 3rd and final check issued by insurance).
Advosy Construction (our preferred vendor) did all the work on the insurance estimate.
      Option #1: Homeowner owes SA $17,507.25 (Deductible $1,000 + NRD $3,201.24 + payout $13,306.01).
SA deposits: $18,677.74 (We received from HO: $6,828.60 + $6,828.60= $13,657.20) + (We received from insurance: $11,312.45) - (We already refunded homeowner: $6,291.91).
      SA owes homeowner: $1,170.49 ($17,507.25 - $18,677.74)

their are many misleading statements in this response. advosy roofing and select adjusters are all part of the same company under the same roof with the same physical address and same phone number. i never requested select adjusters to file an insurance claim for *******. i never spoke to anyone at select adjusters at all. the request to file the insurance claim went through the representative of advosy roofing. the statement " home owner owes ****** dollars" is completely inaccurate. BBB has the very contract for ****** dollars in this complaint. a contractor does not get to come along four months later and raise the estimate/cost by over **** dollars. (work was completed and paid in full in august 2023. revised estimate was produced after insurance settlement in december 2023. the only accurate statement in advosy's response is they still owe me **** dollars. *************************

*************** and Select Adjusters and Advosy Construction have come to an agreement. No further action is required on our part per conversation with *************** today. He received a final payment from Select Adjusters for $1,170.49. Please let me know if anything else is needed on our end.  Thanks!

      * Please see attached documents. This is ***********************, when Select Adjusters removed the roof of my house they took almost a month to replace the roof, they removed it on 6/29/2021 and installed it on 7/29/2021, in the course of those 29 days we had rains and the water got into my house and damaged the inside, In all this time they have not made any repairs and they only give me long delays when I call them to ************** the damage.

      Business response

We are working on helping this client, he had the roof work stopped because he did not want to pay to replace wood that was needed. He took responsibility at the time and we are seeing if his insurance will pay for the damages that occurred due to this delay and their negligence on paying for the claim.

      Customer response

      12/10/2021

I talked to the representative of Select Adjusters and they told me that the insurance claim for the wood would take 3-5 day. Maximum of a week. That's why I accepted the responsibility, but they took a month to get back to me. The roof was exposed for a month. Until it rained. It ruined the inside of the house. Then that's when they finally came to fix the roof. After the damage was already done to the house. The roof was fixed/ installed 07/29/ 2021 and they  have since then not come back to fix what was ruined inside of the house, by the rain. They are responsible to fix the damage. They have only talked in circles. With little to no action. They say they are working on getting it done, but so far, they have not done much. -***********************. Any questions **************. ps. If I could get a representative from BBB that speaks Spanish to talk to about the case. Thank you.

      Business response

      12/10/2021

The client told our crew not to complete the roof work and replace the wood at first because he did not want to incur more cost and asked us to negotiate further with the insurance. Or representative made it clear to the client he would be risking further damage and he insisted we wait. We are trying to resolve this by helping get the insurance company that caused the delay in paying for wood to be replaced but the client has been uncooperative

      Customer response

      12/20/2021

Once again, when I spoke to the representative of Select Adjusters, I agreed to wait because I was told that the insurance claim on the wood would take 2-3 days, max * week to get resolved. Thats why I waited. Two weeks went by. I called Select Adjusters to tell them that the house  was exposed. I called several times and they didnt do anything about it. A month goes by. If Im told it would take 2-3 days for the insurance and it was taking longer, its their responsibility to call the insurance and figure out whats taking so long. I did my part in reminding Select Adjusters several times that its been longer than 2-3 days, like they said. But they didnt do anything until the inside of the house got wet. I dont want to hear whos fault it was, I simply want the inside of the house that got damaged, to get fixed. Select Adjusters says they want to resolve the issue but dont seem to do anything about fixing the damage done inside the house. Its almost been 5 months and they havent given me a response as to how the damage will get fixed. All they say its the insurance's fault. I want the damage fixed. No one from select Adjusters has called me to talk about what steps we can take and work together to fix this issue. Where have I not cooperated? Im the most interested in getting this problem solved.
