In late winter 2021/early 2022, I purchased a knife made by The Cutting Edge, in ****, ** at a local knife/gun show. It is a black, serrated, retractable pocketknife and for several months it worked very well. Then one day while I was cutting a piece of string, the knife spring mechanism jammed. The knife will no longer pop out of its housing and cannot be used :(Fortunately, The Cutting Edge, offers a written guarantee that came with the knife that they would provide repairs or all damaged items provided that they were being used reasonably (i.e. as a knife, not as a screwdriver) which my use falls under.I followed the recommendations of The Cutting Edge, and mailed the knife from my home in **** to ******* along with my cellphone #, email and description of the problem ~May-June 2022. I have called their store *************) and they are in possession of the knife; it is awaiting repairs. The problem is that after ~6 months, the knife has not been repaired and remains in their store. They have been having issues with A) the machine they use to fix these knives being broken/misplaced B) big backlogs of multiple knives to fix and C) they're in the process of moving a large amount of inventory from one location to another, etc etc.I've called the shop at least a dozen times over the past 6 months. During those 6 months, they have not repaired my knife, and they will not send it back either. The boss who's in charge of the repairs cannot be reached.At this point, I just want my property back, even if *not repaired*, that's still OK. I just want my property returned to me and I'll take it to someone local who is more willing and able to fix it. I sympathize with how busy they are, honestly I do :( But The Cutting Edge has been sitting on what's mine for 6 months and I want it returned, EVEN IF it's not actually fixed.- *******************Initial Complaint

My 13 year old son was able to purchase a 4 foot sword & a knife from this store at 2:30 today. (5/14/2022 Receipt #*****) Went back before 5 on same day with receipts and was told there are no refunds, only store credit. Our son obviously made bad choices. The store is also in the wrong and should not be selling weapons to minors. He worked hard for the $100 he spent in this store. There are NO signs by the swords. Only one sign by the register stating that there are no refunds, only store credit within 7 days. Receipts do not provide their refund policy. The thing is.the person I spoke to at the store said they are not willing to provide anything stating you have store credit. How does that work? Disappointed that this store that is selling dangerous weapons to minors to pay their Superstition Springs mall rent. They need to do better!Business response

Cutting Edge adheres to local and state laws. The rules in your house are yours alone and it is not our place to attempt to enforce them. Not that it matters, but we have no swords under $100, anyway. Obviously, the item purchased is a sword-shaped decoration and not intended for actual use. Please do not use this item as a real sword, as you will likely break it. You were told an exchange was an option, and to bring the items back to the store to exercise that option. Instead of adhering to our posted policy, you expect to threaten our staff into complying with your demands, and we are not intimidated by Karens. You threatened legal action, to sic your husband on us, and to trash us online. And your unreasonableness has now caused you to exceed the 7-day return policy, so now you get nothing. Please do not come back, but your son is always welcome; and tell him we're sorry about his mother.
