I was recently a patient at one of the facilities owned by this company. Everything was ok with the exception of just one employee. His name doesn't show up on any of their websites. His name is ****. I was told he was the guy in charge. He was extremely aggressive towards me and went so far as to try to force me to leave the premises on foot with no transportation or so much as a phone call to arrange a ride. I complied even though the temperature was well into the+100 range. When I was told by my insurance provider to return to the facility to be picked up he called the police department to have me arrested. I'm sure I don't need to tell you how extremely dangerous this situation was for a person who has just been incapacitated by drug withdrawal and kept in a medical facility for over a week. You simply cannot survive going from the one to the other just because someone put your initials on a laptop screen. I could have been severely injured or more than likely have died the day I was kicked out of this facility for absolutely no reason other than not wanting to go to the residential facility owned by the same company. I feel like I was being threatened by thugs. Either I go along with what the company wants me to do or risk dying in the desert with no transportation or so much as a loved one knowing where I am. They put my life in serious jeopardy. If I had panicked I most certainly would have either died or gone to jail for charges still unknown. The fact is that this person was willing to push me (a fellow human being) out the door into the literal desert because my wishes were not those of the business model of his employers. It's disgusting that people like this are really out there working with patients who trust them. This is why so many people are so afraid of trying to get sober. I wasn't until now. Now I have a brand new kind of fear between myself and my recovery. Something has to be done about this poison.

My daughter was admitted to The River Source detox facility in ************ on November 11 and discharged on November 13 for a total of a 2 day stay. Since she is on my insurance, I became the financial guarantor for her stay. On the night of her admittance I provided them our ******************** info and after confirming the coverage, they explained to me that our co-pay was $250 a day not to exceed 7 days or $1500. I questioned the $1500 authorization on the form and it was explained that was the max ****** they would charge if necessary based on the number of days that she stayed. They could not tell me how long the treatment was going to take so they just put the max ****** of co-pay that was authorized by the insurance company and then they would charge the card accordingly for the number of days she stayed. As it turned out, she stayed 2 days which at $250 a day would equal $500. Contrary to the initial explanation, they then charged the card for the whole $1500. I immediately questioned the billing department (*************************************) and was told that it was there policy to charge the entire ****** authorized and would then refund the ****** due ($1000) after the insurance company paid and that this was the industry standard way of doing business. I was told that it would take anywhere from 90 to 180 days for the refund and in any case the money would not be refunded any sooner than 90 days from when the insurance company paid, ********************* paid the claim 11/28/2023 which means they should have issued the refund at the end of Febuary according to the billing depts explanation. I have left several ( more than 10) voicemails and at least 2 emails for their billing department with no response. I've spoke with several of the employees who have said they have left messages for billing to call me back with no success. I was also told they were shutting down for "construction". I've been told there's nothing else they can do other than leave messages.

After a long deliberation with the CEO after my departure from The Riversource where they held me against my will for 32 days among other issues, the CEO representing The Riversource agreed to return the funds to me in exchange for no legal action on the stated issue as well as others including rights violations, coercion, duress, misrepresentation of their services (trauma treatment and it's really and A&D house exclusively), etc. The payment was to have been made by the end of 2020. The payment was not made. I kept following up and he asked for more time a few more times "due to Covid." Around April when I followed up again, the email bounced. I contacted the Riversource and they had a new CEO. The person that made the agreement with me was no longer there (Anthony M******, former CEO). I have his name and contact information as well as all of the correspondence of the agreement via email. The Riversource refuses to honor the amount. I need to determine whether I can get this money or if I will pursue the violations as the result of not honoring the agreement. This has caused a tremendous amount of time, and mental and emotional strain. The agreement I made with the prior CEO was $10,000. I am now seeking the entire $12,500 I paid to The Riversource. It took over 6 months to resolve this with the then CEO both on the phone and via email and the CEO confirmed it twice via email (attached). I'm unwilling to walk away from the wrongs they committed and continue to with their organization as well as what they did to me. At present, they are in breach of contract by the agreement the CEO made with me. The last correspondence related to this when they refused to honor it under the new CEO was May 2021. In addition to the attachments, I have phone records, text messages. My email attachments do contain personal information. Please remove those if you use this on your site.
