We hired Plum Custom to design and install ore backyard. Part of the design was accent lighting. We paid for a certain brand of excellent quality. The lighting that was actually installed was a cheaper, inferior brand that were already having issues with. Plum Custom never disclosed to us they had installed the cheaper version of lights or did they they adjust the cost to us. We had been requesting the warranty information from the company and now we know why that was never given to us. We have an area our artificial turf is sinking. The ground underneath was not compacted correctly due to pool piping in that area.We were willing to work with Plum Custom to address and correct these issues. The owner would schedule to do the work and then no show. The owner does not respond to our phone calls, text messages or emails. Apparently Plum Custom has no intention to resolve these issues. Its upsetting the lack of integrity and honesty that has been demonstrated If Plum Custom Landscape and Design has no intention of resolving these issues we will have no other option but to contact the *** of AZ and or legal actionInitial Complaint

The yard has been completed. We were told our outdoor lights have a lifetime warranty and our artificial turf has a warranty. We were not provided with any information. Each light cost $200.00 each and we have 29 of them. We have an irrigation issue that we will have to hire another company to look into the issue because the owner of Plum Custom will not return our phone calls or text messagesInitial Complaint

We hired Plum Custom Landscape and Design to design and install our back yard. Once our back yard was completed we never received the warranty information for our lighting that we paid around $5,000.00. We were told the lights have a lifetime warranty. We also had artificial turf installed with no warranty information for that as well. I have reached out to the owner countless times to have him send us the warranty information with no reply. We have already had an issue with the irrigation and the owner has not replied to that either. He received his money for the installation of our yard and apparently has no intention of taking care of anything going forward.We would like the warranty information so we are covered if we have any issues in the future. I have no faith that Plum Custom will stand behind there work.Initial Complaint

I chose ******************* and his team to do an install of a pergola in my house on May 21, 2021. However, what I didn't realize was how big of a mistake I made. It has been over 8 months and I still have nothing to show for, and they still have my deposit.I was told that it would take **** weeks because of the resource supply chain issue due to covid so I wanted to be accommodating.July 21, 2021 I asked for a status update and throughout the span of July - September 24th I was given multiple messages from **** that he would get back to me but I kept getting excuses.On September 24th **** gets back to me with a text saying that verbatim: "We have a problem on the order which should have been here weeks ago, they made a mistake and the order wasn't placed correctly and was a joint with another project that never moved forward."He then offers to rush order or cancel the job: at this point I had enough and wanted my 50% deposit back. However, again the same pattern occurred where every time I asked **** for an update on when I would get my money back I would get an excuse: "my venmo limit won't let me send fill amount. i'm sending $1000 and the rest tomorrow" but nothing ever happened.Its been 8 months since I first hired him and **** and his company owe me roughly $2000 for my deposit but have consistently blown me off and given me excuses.I would highly recommend anyone looking to hire to reconsider and if they do choose to go with him to NOT give a 50% deposit. The *** highly discourages this practice as contractors should not be using other client's deposits to fund their other projects.
