Hired **** and his crew to complete landscaping work in my backyard with a paver pathway in my front. We agreed on a price after initial quote that I believed was fair. 1) Didn't use the pavers I wanted after I provided name and color from PDF provided by **************. This is the company **** said he uses. 2) Said he didn't quote front pathway so added an additional $750 to job. 3) Said he only quoted one hose bib so added an additional $250 because I wanted 3, but ultimately, he didn't want to run the extra pvc pipe, so I only did 2. 4) DID listen about me wanting to do PVC for irrigation pipes. Here is when the problem started. I wanted to add an additional irrigation control valve to run the water to the back (ideally 2 for the back, but he suggested/wanted to only do the 1). Cut into water line feeding the original irrigation value to add the additional irrigation valve. 9 days later, project completed 6/24 and issues started 7/2. The seal from the main water line to irrigation control values failed and water leaked all over the front of my property. I had to shut off the water to my front landscaping. Texted next morning and he said he would come out same day. Finally arrived on 7/6 after I sent another text on 7/5. I understand because of holiday. **** failed next morning when I turned on the water. I immediately sent a text message which he read, but no response. Followed up on 7/10 on ETA , read text message, but no response. Texted again 7/12, read text message, but no response. I had to fix the water line myself at a cost of around $110. I had to purchase a special tool Now the control value doesn't stop the flow of water so that will need to be replaced. I never touched the irrigation value, but his guys did when adding the 2 valves.
