We contracted Mr. Rooter to do plumbing work on our home. While awaiting the insurance payment, we proceeded with financing partnered with Mr. Rooter. We approved two payment requests submitted by Mr. Rooter, totaling $15,200.01. We had fully paid what was owed, when another payment request came through. In trying to speak with Mr. Rooter, a bill that we had never seen was sent to us, totaling $12,376.91. They claimed that this was the total, and they had only received $11,468.49 from the bank, not the $15,200.01 that we have confirmed was requested by Mr. Rooter, approved, and sent by the bank. Additionally, while working on our home, Mr. Rooter caused damages which they have claimed liability for. The amount of the damages has come to $908.38 and Mr. Rooter is claiming we owe $908.42. It has been a nightmare experience to get them to confirm their liability for the damages they caused, and we believe this claim to additional funds is a way to recoup the cost of the damages they caused. Mr. Rooter is stating a different amount was received from the bank, and is falsely claiming that we owe additional funds. We have documentation from both Mr. Rooter and the bank confirming transactions, yet they are ignoring our requests to meet to discuss the discrepancies. They have also been ignoring the bank who has been reaching out to discuss the discrepancies as well.

Roughly 3 weeks ago I had Mr. Rooter come out regarding a back up in my sewer main line of the casita in our backyard. The sales **** ************************** came to diagnose the problem. He misrepresented the credit line he had me open to pay for the work, and said that I should open a homeowners insurance claim that would cover 60%-80% of the cost of the work. He called a subcontractor to come do prep work for the job, and a couple days later Mr. Rooter employees came and finished the main line. Firstly, he had me open a credit line to pay for the work - later I found out that he misrepresented the payment schedule. They left piles of dirt and debris in the backyard and a did not complete the tile work or drywall that was taken down to perform the work. After I called, he said that the insurance would come out to perform the work in a couple days. It's been almost a month and the insurance has not come out to do anything because they never received any photos or plumbers report to progress the claim. I've texted and called ***** multiple times over and he will not get back to me, his assistant said she'd get me the materials needed and then stopped responding as I've been following up since they were never sent. The company that did the prep work damaged the inside of the casita (paint, trim work) and when I asked ***** he said he wasn't responsible as it as the subcontractor. Now I'm left with an open insurance claim I cannot progress, no ability to contact Mr. Rooter or get the photos/report, and the casita damage. Work began week of May 9th.
