I feel cheated. I went to a dealership with good intentions to purchase a vehicle and they scammed me. They charged me an extra 6 thousand mark up. Also when I went to finance the vehicle we signed on a deal. After one week they wanted me to come back to the dealership to sign a new deal. When I refused and stated I would like to just withdraw from the entire contract and get a refund, the finance manger I was talking too told me okay thats fine we will just go with your other agreement. And I told them even if I decline? And he smiled and said *** deviously.Business response

Hey ****, I'd like to start by saying we appreciate your business and we are sorry you feel that you were cheated. I reviewed your contract and was able to confirm that we sold you the vehicle for exactly what we had it advertised for, and we did not increase the price by $6000 as you stated. I did notice that you purchased two additional warranties and one GAP insurance policy which are optional. We recommend these policies to our customers so they are protected from large unexpected expenses in the future. Also, please remember that we had to roll a large amount of negative equity to your loan due to the large payoff on your trade in. We would be more than happy to walk you through your contract again, line by line, so everything makes sense. Please call the dealership and ask to speak with the finance manager if you need any additional details. Thank you!Initial Complaint

I went here last year in May & got a 2016 Chevy Silverado for $46k out the door (financed price) $727/month. Was super excited, the process was easy, the truck is super nice & everything I wanted, spent $60k at the end of the day & here I am a year later with a blown up transmission and a ticking/knocking engine. I have called to see what they can do to help & they offer nothing at all but a 10% discount to use their shop which I would be responsible for getting the truck to their Phx office when I am no where near Phx. Not to mention I paid for a warranty that I never even used & at the time I was only 200 miles over the warranties limits & they STILL wouldn't help.. That’s a terrible business practice to have. It’s not like I bought some crap car for 10k off a lot. I paid for a big truck & I pay a lot monthly for something that was so expensive to have it have some serious issues this soon? It just baffles me how in a year, the transmission would go out and then boom, engine is knocking.. I work from home & barely drive the thing 10 miles a day. They offered no solution or avenues to seek to help with the repair that’s going to cost me $6.8k plus $4.5k for the engine. I won’t be coming here for another truck. Their warrant they work with & offer refused to help either after paying monthly for that plus an additional fee on my loan… terrible. The first two weeks I had the truck, It was in the shop (not covered by their warranty) for needing new front end work? Like HOW already? They refused to help, blamed me, said I probably did something. So I had to take it to a shop & have that done as well. I would like refunds for all this work I have to do.. Not like I replaced a radiator or something. Front end, Transmission & Engine problems are serious and happen over time so there is no way I caused the issues. They sold me a lemon.Business response

Hey *****, thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that you have had difficulty with your truck. We always do our very best to help customers if they have a mechanical issue shortly after their purchase, but we also set realistic expectations when we sign the contracts. Warranties are essentially an insurance policies, and they expire after a certain period of time or when a specific amount of miles have been reached. The warranty you purchased was for 24 months or 26,500 miles. The receipts you sent us for your engine repairs show you had driven your truck 35,000 miles in the 18 months post sale, well beyond the original warranty's coverage. If you hadn't driven so many miles in such a short period of time - which most likely led to the damages - we would have gladly worked with you and the warranty company to complete the repairs. We feel like we went above and beyond by offering you discounted rates in our service shop, and we would be glad to honor that offer for any future issues. We would also be glad to explore trading you into a newer vehicle with less miles. Feel free to reach out to the team at Lifted Trucks Mesa if you decided to pursue either of these two options. Thank you!Customer response

I don't think this was acceptable as a response. The transmission went out a couple hundred miles after the warranty expiration per the warranty specialist I talked to on the phone. I don't think 10% off service is an acceptable amount to offer someone when they just purchased a $60,000 car from you as well as I traded in 2 vehicles. It is not as if I needed a simple repair. These are pretty serious and large repairs. If I am having this many issues with my truck right now, why would I want another truck that could potentially have issues from your lot again? So, it is normal to purchase a truck off your lot and expect to drop $10,000+ within two years of owning it? I just don't find this acceptable or a good business practice to have. I would even appreciate any help or compensation to a portion of the repairs I have to do and have already done as I am a single mom of two girls with a one income household. This has really affected my household negatively. My truck has been sitting with a blown engine for almost 3 months now. I have no vehicle yet I still pay a $727 payment monthly. This is just not right.Business response

I don't believe getting on the phone to discuss is going to solve anything. I have been doing that since September of 2022 and its now April 2023.. It is getting no where.Initial Complaint

I paid for a service contract in addition to a Chrysler 300. It was totaled due to a crash. As a result the refund of the contract cost was **** due to the dealer or myself or lender to cover balances. In my case I had gal insurance to cover the loan which was already confirmed by the lender. The lender advised that the dealer had the refund of **** and that I could just use that as a down payment. When I went to the dealership they stated they sent it to the lender which was a lie. The next day when I asked the lender for a proof letter of them sending such fox which they provided but they changed the wording to allow the dealership more time, then to send it to them. So not only are they lying to people they are working together to s**** people over.Business response

I purchased a truck from this company back in December 2021. I traded in my old truck and made a deal to purchase a 2017 **** King ****** I have a co-signer, to help with my purchase. When I was there, I signed all my papers through a company that they told me I was approved by, Alaskan credit line. Signed all the papers, figured out my payment, the warranty and all. Brought home the truck, and the papers for my co-signer to sign. Brought the papers back to lifted trucks all signed and dated with our contract information. Now, about a month later, after we have traded in my truck and have been driving around in a truck that was all signed for by both parties they have called and said we no longer qualify and need to bring the truck back in. Im completely overwhelmed and confused on how a company, can take a traded in truck, sell me a truck, let me drive it for a month then say we need it back after all the paper work is signed. Im ultimately confused, I have already put money into this truck thinking it was mine because all papers have been signed and warranty has been figured out. Truck has already been serviced for a leak, that was covered under warranty. How can they take back a truck, that is in my possession and papers and signed and dated?Business response
