On October 7, 2023 dropped my Riccar vacuum off at *****'s Vacuum. I didn't hear from them for weeks. I called. They said they would call me the next day with estimate. Had a couple of excuses as to why not repaired yet. Employee sick, technician not available, etc. Did not receive a call from them. Another month went by. Call again same excuse, same promise. Another month went by. I call again. Ask me if I knew what my vacuum looked like and when he finds it, he will call me with estimate and it will be repaired within a few days. He has never called back. I called again the same day and left a message that if my vacuum was not returned, I would contact police. At this point all I want is my vacuum back.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

      Regards,

I purchased a $700 vacuum from *****'s Vacuum at the ********** location less than three years ago. It stopped working approximately 4 weeks ago. I took it in and was told it was the filter. They replaced the filter, charged me, and gave it back to me. The first time I used it, it did the exact same thing. I took it back in and was told that the technician had quit, but now she was back, so she would work on it, meaning no one even bothered to try it to see if it was working correctly the first time. I waited a few days and called. I was told that it was "working for them". Clearly, they didn't actually test it, because it's still shutting off for no reason. They now are telling me they have to order a part "and it's coming from ***** and it could be weeks or months" before they get it. I was also told that they "don't sell this vacuum anymore" and they only have "American made" vacuums now. I was also informed that "if the vacuum is not sitting in the store, she doesn't worry about it, so she doesn't call or follow up on parts", or suggest any other repairs, or evidently find a way to make this right. So I guess I'm supposed to give them the vacuum so it can sit in the store for "weeks or months" and I should just go without? This is not my problem. It's under warranty and I need a vacuum now, not in "weeks or months". I do not care that they are unable to service machines under warranty. That is their problem and they need to give me a refund so I can purchase a new vacuum SOMEWHERE ELSE.

November 18, 2021 I took my Orek Vacuum cleaner into Davids Vacuums on ********** in **** *******. As I was vacuuming my floors that day the handle broke off in my hand. My warranty states repair or replace. I was told the same at the store and that it may take several weeks to get the handle repaired. The employee has done everything to rectify this matter but its been two months and I still dont have my repaired vacuum or replacement. I called the customer service center and they gave me an email that only the company can use.. Again, the employee has been very helpful but she cant get anywhere with the company either. My claim number is *********.
