On 07/12, my dog was attacked by two dogs at this daycare, **** ** location. When they called me, I was told it was a minor incident and wound. I ended up going to get my dog. Later in the day when he started acting funny, I took him to the vet. He had to be sedated, his wounds cleaned, drains put in as well as stitches. They refuse to pay for the vet bills or contact the owner of the dog to see if they will pay for it. They had dogs with known aggression in their facility and they told me as much when I picked up my dog. This goes against everything they advertise on their website. I paid them to protect and keep my dog safe. They must have insurance to cover these situations. Their website says they pay up to $500 for vet bills if a dog gets injured, but for some reason I dont qualify. They were willing to allow my dog to continue going to daycare even though he is past the time he should be neutered. I wonder what other rules they are breaking adding to their unsafe environment. I am asking for payment of $437.10.Initial Complaint

January 6, 2023 incident occured. Was handed a FINAL WRITTEN WRITE UP BY Resort Supervisor. A FIRST WRITTEN WRITE UP had never been handed to me. An incident occured in November of 2022, I had failed to save documentation progress in the computer system, which in turn produced being talked to about it in mid December upon my return from a brief leave after my house fire. On day of descussion the resort was short staffed per usual, and the Resort Supervisor took my eagerness to get back to the numerous dogs still needing let out as "not taking the issue seriously". I did take it seriously, however I clearly recall there was just 3 staff that day for upwards of 70 dogs. Myself who was Shift Lead/Runner, one person for big dogs and one for small dogs. I was responsible for getting all the dogs out to the yards, cleaning the kennels during their time out, and making sure all yards ran smoothly with no alterations. So, I was given a VERBAL warning and nothing further until the FINAL WRITTEN. Upon my leaving, unknown to myself, the General Manager and Resort Supervisor disclosed my parting in full to customers. Not a simple "she is no longer with us". That is not good business eticat, nor proper of any good Manager. The working conditions can also be highly questioned as many times there were to many dogs to have out at same time for 1 yard handler, which meant having to make smaller groups and Management didn't like that at all. They would rather have all dogs out then make comfortable sized groups. There was also very minimal training of how to even be in a yard with dogs. Much was done simply by being 'thrown in' and what was learned via computer program. I enjoyed my job very much, but disliked the way it was ran.Initial Complaint

Dating back to 2015 I began boarding my dog at the Doggie District Paradise Valley. Beginning October 29, 2015 I began periodically purchasing packages for overnight stays and daycare stays. Before I began making these purchases I was told me that the nights and days purchased on these packages would NEVER expire. I don't recall the circumstances behind the initial six nights and five days that my dog had on the books prior to October 29, but presumably they were from a special offering from the Doggie District. From October 29th forward I purchased five Overnight Packages totaling 146 nights and one Daycare Package which was good for 50 days. These purchases brought the accumulative balances over the years to a total of 152 nights and 55 days. I have attached a PDF file detailing the purchase of said packages and the nights and days stayed. On several occasions I would compare my records to those of the Doggie District and with one exception, when the Doggie District showed more days on the books than my records did, our numbers were ALWAYS in sync. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit my travels stopped. In addition to that my dog was diagnosed with advancing kidney disease and his Vet said that he could be gone within a few months. I brought this up with the Doggie District and they said that if he died they would reimburse me for whatever remaining nights/days were on the books. Two or three years ago there was a change of ownership and they changed their method of record keeping. They converted my dog's 21 nights and 27 days remaining to a credit of something over $500. This is no where near an accurate dollar amount. I submitted to the Doggie District my records last December 10th and they responded that they would look into it but they never got back with me. More than six months later I am still waiting.I would appreciate it if the BBB would assist me in recovering a dollar amount equivalent to the 21 nights and 27 days remaining.
