Purchased a new generatorit did not work straight out of the box. Purchased from Lowes no help from them..tried the manufacturer manufacture but no help.We just recently had a hurricane here in ******* and I really needed itmy stepfather is with me and has medical issues and his meds needed to be refrigerated luckily I fold another generator from a friendif not who knows what could have happened to him. I just want a refund or a generator that works.

I'm on my second ****** generator first one leaked oil cord snapped after having it two weeks now the second one if you can get it to run as soon as you plug something in it dies then you'll wear yourself out pulling and pulling and pulling trying to get it to start and to stay running do not recommend one of these junk generatorsFirman Power Equipment, Inc Response

Wish I read the reviews before purchasing from Firman. I would have wnet elsewhere **************** reps and support process are a frustration. They are disorganized, no accountability, do not keep their promises to customer. Hours spent on this issue Reason: My generator unit stopped working and support sent me a replacement muffler. It did not fit, had mounting brackets in wrong place. Sent photos to support- they promised to call me back with update and ship the correct replacement part. No call from Firman and no part shipped. Two follow up calls later, same promise was made to call me with an update, no call no part send. This is issue started in August and still not resolved in December. ( I will have to repair it in the cold barn now thank you Firman) Lets hope we do not have another power outage,We will see if my request to escalate to management will result in a return call to me.NormFirman Power Equipment, Inc Response

Purchased a new dual fuel generator and it would not start on gas or LPG right out of the box, spent an hour on their customer service phone number going through troubleshooting steps to no avail, then wanted to return it ... well, ****** wouldn't take it back, Firman told me they don't allow returns. Horrible knock-off product, worse customer service. ****** and ********************** have not only lost a customer but have also created a vehement *************************** spokesman for life.Review from Mark S.

We purchased a firman dual fuel generator on 10/15/2022 and used it for barely 2 months and it started backfiring and running crappy. Called firman to file a warranty claim and took it to the shop of their choice. I was told by 2 of firmans employees which I wont list on here because I know its in your records who I spoke with, I also have emails of the conversations, and was told if the shop couldnt fix it, firman would immediately issue a replacement generator for me. I called back after picking the generator up 3 weeks ago because the shop could not fix it, and was given the run around about how now they want me to return it to them to have looked at by their team at the factory. I have been getting the run around on this generator now for going on 2 months. I need a new generator like I was promised after spending over ******* on nothing.Firman Power Equipment, Inc Response

FAULTY PARTS, POOR BUILD QUALITY, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE My brand new ********************** generator was assembled incorrectly but I did not discover this until I tested it before winter, when it also became apparent that the *** and/or the *** modules were faulty - which means the generator does not output any power. Firman are sending me replacement parts and instructions for how I disassemble the unit and fit them, however, they have chosen to use the cheapest shipping method available which means I have to wait 2 weeks for them to arrive. Meanwhile, there was a power outage in our area last night that lasted a little over 12 hours and I was unable to use my Firman generator to keep my fridge/freezer running - this was precisely why I invested in a generator in the first place!Firman customer service is breathtakingly lacking.Avoid this company, consider other options.Review from Mark E

I have contacted 3 service agents representing Firman Power Equipment. My 3 month old 9kw generator is burning oil at excessive high rate. Purchase registered with Firman, I requested a new piston with rings to INSTALL MYSELF.. All 3 agents have been sent videos of the unit puffing clouds of blue smoke. Zero response from all 3 Firman agents. My generous offer to repair it MYSELF results in no warranty piston sent, no response to my emails. FIRMAN IS JUNK, NO WARRANTY.. generator has been lightly used with expert maintenance and failed with less than 60 hours on hour meter. DO NOT BUY FIRMAN PRODUCTS.. ************Review from Richard M.

The absolute worst customer support there is. Started a warranty claim 28/01/2022 and as of today 07/03/2022 still no resolution. Bought a new 10000/8000 watt generator and it will not start in cold weather and by that I mean -5 degrees Celsius as I live in ******. The generator has been at their approved service shop for more than 6 weeks and there's is no resolution though I have been in constant contact with the service center and they know what's wrong with it but Firman will not move forward with the solution. The generator only has **** hours on it and won't start when its cold without being warmed up. It's a carburetor issue but Firman won't act. Totally unacceptable. Please don't buy Firman generator if you live in a climate that gets cold. You WILL be sorry for it.Firman Power Equipment, Inc Response

We have been in contact with the customer and have sent him to a Firman service Center to validate the warranty claim. Once evaluated we have determined we will be replacing the unit under warranty.
