Hi!I am writing to file a complaint against Craig from Colors by Craig Painting, ******, **.In August 2022 we decided to have our 2 small bathrooms painted. On 8/28/22 Craig came into our home to give us an estimate on painting 2 small bathrooms. He estimated each bathroom at $275.00. Then he gave an estimate on our kitchen ceiling of $350.00. We agreed to have 2 bathrooms painted and would think about the kitchen ceiling. The price of the 2 bathrooms $550 included patching and replacing a small portion of trim molding in the master bathroom. I paid him (via Zelle) $450 deposit. I asked if he could get the job done in a day as we have family flying in - he told me he should be able to (the bathrooms are very small). On 9/15/22, he said that he may need the 2nd day for our kitchen ceiling but that I didn't have to have that ceiling done. I agreed not to have the ceiling done and just have the 2 bathrooms painted so he could finish the job in one day. He came into my home with all paint and I left to go get him the rest of the money to give to him when painting was done. I received a text half hour later saying he was not doing my job and he was angry! I saved his texts because his anger was scaring me. He said we agreed on the kitchen ceiling too - but he had just texted that I didn't have to have that done if I wanted the two bathrooms done in one day. He said I know you're going to be angry and I told him I don't get angry and he left all paint here unopened and did absolutely no work (even left our mirror and wall decor off the bathroom wall so we had extra work to do). I asked him kindly to refund most of my $450 (less paint cost) as he did NO WORK AT ALL and he will not refund me. He had me in tears. I've never had this happen with anyone before. I wasn't sure if I should call the police? Then I noticed he's not licensed nor accredited by BBB. I should've checked before I had him over. I just want my money back - zero work was done. It's not right. Thank you
