    Reliable Movers quoted $9,800, assuring no hidden fees, which is why I chose them. The move was originally scheduled for February 27th but was delayed repeatedly and rescheduled for February 28th. I had to sign a new contract, which was frustrating.I informed them about my 1010 storage unit and apartment, providing pictures and dimensions of large items. However, when the movers arrived, they asked about the storage unit, even though the owners later claimed I never mentioned it. The company increased the estimated hours from 28 to 32, likely to justify higher costs.The movers arrived with a 16 truck, which was too small. After slow packing, they unloaded everything into the parking lot, leaving my belongings exposed. They also damaged my $5,000 couch and the apartment door. The company offered only $30 for the couch and $20 for the door despite the damage.The unloading was delayed from noon to 8:30 PM, and I was told Id be charged extra unless I helped unload. Despite promises of no hidden fees, they charged an additional $5,000 to my card without approval.After researching reviews, I found a pattern of delays, contract changes, and price increases after loading. Reliable Movers engaged in deceptive practices, leaving me frustrated and financially impacted. I would strongly advise against using them.

    To whom this may concern, we would be more than happy to share any transcript texts, or calls with **** ****** involving his move and what he was quoted and charged as well as our communication throughout the process and our discounts equally to over $4000+. We would like to make it clear that he did NOT communicate he had a 10 x 10 storage which resulted in us showing up with just a 16 foot truck but to accommodate the situation we went and got a larger truck at no additional costs and did not charge for our employees to continue to work nor for us to unload the smaller truck into the larger one. We also did not charge additional for providing two additional crew members at the unload location or for the three additional hours, it took. we were under the impression we were showing up to move a one bedroom apartment with minimal furniture in boxes. He and his wife also tried lying and manipulating the situation to blame us for damage to a door that we did not cause and when approached about his lie, he had nothing to say. **** was charged appropriately according to his quote he accepted and we can prove we discounted much more than obligated.

    Response to Reliable ********** I appreciate your response, but I stand by my review. I have text messages where you admitted to damaging my door and stated you would only cover $20 for paintwithout consulting a professional or obtaining a proper estimate. Additionally, my apartment complex has informed me that your team broke a light fixture, which they have on video.For the record, my company covers all my moving expenses, so I have absolutely no reason to try and cheat or manipulate a moving company. I have used *********** and Two Men and a Truck multiple times without any issues, but this move was by far the most difficult and frustrating experience Ive had.Beyond the damage and overcharging, your company caused multiple delays that made my move even more stressful. The crew showed up late, took longer than expected to load and unload, which dragged out the process unnecessarily. These delays added hours to what should have been a straightforward move, completely throwing off my schedule.Between calling customers liars, refusing to take responsibility for damages, offering misleading discounts, nearly doubling the quoted price, and causing unnecessary delays, it seems my experience aligns with many other negative reviews Ive since read about your company. I regret not researching them sooner.Additionally, I am requesting the full transcript of our call from February 14, 2025, so there is clear documentation of what was discussed.I expected a professional and hassle-free move, but instead, Im left dealing with damages, delays, and overcharges. I hope you take accountability and improve your practices so future customers dont have to go through the same experience.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They may have a lot of good reviews but its because they give you a $25 discount if you leave them 5 stars. I used them even though their pricing was high because I had to move quickly. I told them they were only moving the heavy items and wanted to keep it under the two hour minimum. My TV required a moving box so I paid the $25 to rent one that didn't show up. I was quoted $420 for two hours including the TV Box. The mover were great (I thought initially) We wrapped up the move at 9:56 when they arrived at 8:07, which was under the two hour ***** I received a call saying I would get the discount if I left a review and I said of course. I was then advised to wait to sign the final paperwork until it showed the discount for the review. 15 minutes later they say it didnt post and to try again. By the time it posted they had put my move completed time as 10:10 and they charged me $70 for the additional time spent waiting for the review. When I called to question this they said their guy didnt not note the move as completed until 10:05 and they apply a 5 minute addition in order to receive the paperwork which put me over my time. I am now not only paying the additional $70 for absolutely nothing, but losing the $25 discount that apparently doesnt show up on the final agreement until it is live on ******. Which means the line about waiting for it be reflected on the paperwork wasnt even true and just a way to extend the move time.Granted I should have looked closer at the final paperwork before signing but I skimmed it and signed because I was trying to make sure I didnt go over my time. While we were standing in the parking lot waiting for the review to post the kid even joked about just barely making it in time and their home office always being available until you need them. Instead of $370 after the $25 discount and removing the $25 TV box rental that didnt show up, I am out $465 when the move was done in under two hours.

    Hello ****,This is just false and we already clearly explained everything to you multiple times. Your move started at 8:05am and ended at 10:10am. We charge by the 15 minute period instead of larger increments so yes, you were charged for 2.25 Hours as our crew members are on the clock and we cannot work for free. You were charged correctly and only according to the upfront and honest rates provided to you from the beginning. The TV Box was also removed from your bill and you know that.     This company is not recommended. They do not explain up front the cost in details. They quoted a price on the phone but then sent a written quote that said that I was being discounted by $100. That had not mention in the phone quote that I found out later that they would use this mysterious discount later to their advantage (ie. when they owe you later for any mishaps they can say we already have you a discount to begin with) Even after this fictitious discount I ended up paying $245 more. The company said that they were able to disassemble and reassemble sleep number beds. This is a lie, my bed is deflated and will not re-inflate and so i have to pay for a sleep number tech to come out. $200. They had a 26 foot truck and even after I went through my inventory over the phone they could not fit it because their packing was not the best. They put a dirty picnic table next to a blue velvet sofa THAT WAS COVERED and it still got dirty. They will not take your suggestions on what you want to packed. They have a ploy or tactic to leave out some very important or expensive items at the end and say "we can come back and get them for an additional cost. This is at the end once the truck is loaded instead of in the process so that you can decide what to leave behind. For me it was either my bed or my industrial size sewing machine. When I called to speak to the owner **** he had no solution. Instead he had his manager ********* call me back to say that the company would stand by their movers and stand their ground and only offer me $50 off. NOT to come out and put my sleep number together or to pay the $190 that it costs for a sleep number tech.Last thing, 30m before the job was done the company calls to ask me to give them a good review for a $50 off. This is before the job is even done. Who doesn't want a discount? So despite every irritating event I still gave a good review pointing out only positives. This is the next day, still no bed to sleep on and no resolution.

    Hello, as we have said before *****, shame on you. This is all false and we have screenshots of your previous 5-Star review along with the photos of you and our crew giving a thumbs up. We also have numerous call recordings and text transcripts exemplifying your satisfaction and that nothing happened during your move. We have it in text and on a recorded call of you saying you were going to go leave a bad review and slander us if we didnt pay you $200 for sleep number to send a tech out to reconnect your remote controller to your bed, when that has nothing to do with us and you even called customer support while our crew was still present to see if anything could be done. As for it being deflated, you had packed the airline caps and did not know where they were so the bed was to remain deflated until you found them. Again, we have everything in writing and on recorded phone calls and will happily present it to anyone who contacts us in regard to this matter. We do wish you the best and hope you feel better after trying to extort and then slander a small and family owned business who did nothing but provide a great move from start to finish, per your own words.

    BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! I originally hired them based off of their reviews online and the quote I received, seemed great the time. yeah... not so much. Where to begin, first off, they will quote you a fantastic price, claim there's no hidden fees and make you believe you found the perfect moving company. Then they will send the SLOWEST crew possible to make sure they go over the original time they quoted you. I was quoted 2.5 hrs., mind you it took them well over 4 hours. 3.5 of that was just to load the truck! (this was a partial move mind you). The crew they will send you, will be very inexperienced in loading a truck and will load and unload multiple times because they pay zero attention to detail and the size of your furniture. Honestly, my 4-year-old could have loaded the truck quicker and more efficiently. Everything they had to load was already broken apart or boxed up and ready to go for them, there was absolutely no reason it should have taken as long as it did. They also were only moving stuff from one house to another house 4.3 miles up the road. This company quoted me 200% less than what the final price ended up being and when I brought this to their attention, they didn't seem to care at all that their quotes are very far off, and they are clearly ripping people off by misleading them. They refused to work with me on the price or acknowledge any type of discount for the inconveniences, over charges or damages. They will break your furniture and then also claim they are not responsible for anything!!HONESTLY SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! ****** learned next time I will just move myself!This company will take zero responsibility for anything, and it shows as they repeatedly call everyone a liar who writes them a terrible review. I find it extremely hard to believe when myself as well as other previous clients have had the same complaints over and over Again and are called liars.

    Hello ********,We are disappointed to see you take to flat out lying and slandering us online.You were quoted 2-6 Hours and your move took 4.25 Hours, which is actually quite efficient.WE HAVE NO HIDDEN FEES OR CHARGES AND YOU WERE NOT CHARGED ANY. We would be more than happy to provide all documentation and paperwork for your move including final receipts to anyone who would like to verify (any personal information of course).You paid for 4.25 Hours according to the rates we clearly provided you from the start and that was it.As for any damage, only one item made of mdf was damaged slightly as a fascia piece popped off and your ex who was present even stated that has happened before and he fixed it there on the spot. We also have pictures and timestamped notes verifying all of this, as you know.Again, we would be more than happy to provide proof of all of this to anyone who is interested and contacts us with any concerns.     Stay away from this company! DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANY OF YOUR MOVING NEEDS. Opposite of everything their website portrays. The photos speak for themselves. Absolutely damaged every item their crew packed. Their workers clearly not trained in packing as they say. And dont expect to reach someone on the phone if something does go wrong. They dont even have the decency to talk to you on the phone. Will only text. Only offering us $300 when we have over 5 grand in damage plus over 5k in moving fees. Devasting loss. Blamed everyone but themselves. Said we helped in loading. Complete lie! Said we didnt have enough packing blankets material. Complete lie! We did this move 4 years ago with the exact same material and had none of these issues. Complete neglect on their part. Just look at these horrific photos. Heavy black suitcase on top of off white chair. Ruined. Metal deep freezers stacked on top of each other with no protection. Ruined. Sofas stacked on top of the TVs!TVs placed sideways! No blankets used on dressers. Every one scratched or dented. Every item touching side of trailer has no blanket so rubbed to death and ruined. We understand a few scratches will happen on a long distance move. This is so far above and beyond. Horrible work. Horrible customer service. Farthest thing from honest integrity and character as their website says. STAY AWAY! We would have been better off throwing everything in the trailer blind than hiring this outfit. I repeat. Do not use them!!! Im not one to tarnish someones reputation. In fact *** waited a few days hoping we could resolve this with them but to no avail. This work is so unacceptable that I just want to warn the next mover so they dont end up in the same situation as us.

    Hello ******, we are sorry to see that you have taken to completely and intentionally misrepresent the entire situation and omit multiple important aspects and steps that we took in resolving this matter.You failed to clarify that you hired multiple parties for this move as we were only paid $480 total to load your entire trailer, whereas you paid $4,000+ dollars to other entities including ABF for all of the transportation and unloading of the truck, yet you are assigning the full blame to us. We made it clear that as the customer for a load only, one-way job, that you were to provide ALL proper materials needed to safely load your truck including stretch wrap, cardboard, multiple blankets, ratchet straps, etc - You provided no stretch wrap or cardboard stating it "wasn't necessary" and also only provided 7-8 blankets when 25+ were needed to safely and properly load your trailer. This was communicated throughout the job and you and your wife stated that "you moved before without those materials and it was fine" even though that should never be the case.We completely acknowledged that mistakes happen and mistakes were made by our crew on your load up, which has been sternly addressed since that does not at all reflect how they are trained. This is why we APOLOGIZED and REFUNDED you $300 according to the released value protection coverage that was included free of charge in your load only job as is standard for all moving companies since YOU CHOSE NOT TO PURCHASE OR ACQUIRE any additional protection for full value reimbursement, repair or replacement. You also chose to use a cargo-share trailer load which picks *** and drops off multiple loads in transport, exposing your items to further handling, movement, and lack of security. You also continue to lie in stating that you did not speak to anyone on the phone when one of our owners directly called you and spoke on for 16 minutes on a recorded phone call explaining the situation, apologizing for the damage that was a result of our crew's mistakes, but not all since we were only one of multiple parties involved in your move, and then provided a refund. We also would like to clarify that a sofa was NOT stacked on top of your **, it was a single sofa cushion and the ** was in a ** box, so that is also a direct and intentional misrepresentation of the situation on your part. You were presented with many options when moving multiple states over and chose to select the cheapest possible option by hiring multiple different entities to load (without proper and necessary materials), transport (the driver clearly drove recklessly and without regard for your items), and then the final unload whether that was yourself or another entity. The trailer that you had items loaded into was also accessed by different parties throughout the process as you chose a cargo-share load which picks *** and drops off multiple loads in transport, exposing your items to further handling, movement, and lack of security. As stated above, we understand that mistakes were made as we have taken full responsibility for that and issued you a refund. We do not appreciate you falsely and intentionally misrepresenting the entire situation and slandering us online as we have worked and continue to work extremely hard to do right by every customer and provide the best experience we can, even when mistakes happen. We wish you the best and are sorry that you did not have the experience we intended for. Thank you.
