Nissan has been selling cars with defective transmissions. They settled a lawsuit for it however not many people heard about it due to it being around Covid. Due to the lawsuit they extended the warranty and to 84k mikes. My transmission went out 2k after that. The car came back in perfect health besides a failed transmission.Review from Francisco C

Buyer Beware To clarify, I have purchased multiple cars from this dealership and for the most part have been completely satisfied with the services provided. that being said,********** does not act in good faith in regard to its warranties. I've been given multiple different statements regarding why they would not cover me for a rental while my car was in the shop for an issue covered under the powertrain warranty. As medical personal, I cannot be without a car and after verifying with an agent that as long as I submit the documents required I would be reimbursed, I went ahead and got one. Fast forward to 2 days later, after submitting said paperwork, I received a denial saying that it was not a covered service. After calling Stellantis to clarify, I spoke to an agent who refused to allow me to speak while consistently talking over me. She had said that one of the factors was that I was not the original purchaser of the car. To remind you, this was a vacuum pump failure covered under powertrain warranty. This is not acting in good faith. Stellantis owns 14 brands, Abarth, Alfa ****** ********* ******** Dodge, DS ****************** Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, ************** Ram and Vauxhaul. I strongly urge you to avoid these brands as I promise you that Stellantis frankly care about your needs or the quality of your vehicles (****** miles and my car has already been in twice for part failures. I would absolutely recommend this dealership, however I would recommend avoiding the cars of this brand on their lot (I purchased the problematic car from this dealership)Buyer BewareReview from Elizabeth F

If o could give them no stars, I would. This place is not transparent. They will lie about your application being approved, they dont reply to emails or voicemails, they dont give you your paperwork after buying a car, they have no remorse for their shady practices. I would never recommend this place. Your better off buy from ******** marketplace then coming to this place.Review from Christian R

I have approached a Sales Manager at Peoria Nissan about my leasing contract which is about to expire. The manager told me that I can/have to schedule an appointment with A.I.M. before I can turn my car in. He told me that I could keep my car at the dealership so that the inspection can be done there. After scheduling the inspection, I called the dealership to let them know I will be dropping my car off shortly. That person on the phone told me that this wouldn't be possible since the inspection needs to be performed first. If that is the case, then why was i misinformed by the sales manager. A business that is treating customers like that don't care about the people in my opinion. They care about the money and the money only. This misinformation caused by the sales manager cost me several hundred dollars since I had to cancel and reschedule my flight.I do not recommend doing business with Peoria Nissan!Review from Lori S

I would like to express my utmost dissatisfaction with the purchasing experience I recently encountered. Regrettably, it stands as the most abhorrent transaction I have ever been subjected to. The sales personnel, employing a distressingly aggressive approach, coerced me into acquiring an automobile that was not of my choosing. Despite my explicit request to retrieve my keys on three separate occasions, my appeals were blatantly disregarded. To exacerbate matters, the dealership dispatched an astonishing number of four distinct salespeople to convince me that they were "settling my outstanding car loan," when in reality, they merely manipulated the figures to create a facade of financial relief.Upon proceeding to the financing stage, I was astounded to be informed that the concept of a comprehensive bumper-to-bumper warranty was nonexistent. Consequently, I was artfully coerced into purchasing an additional warranty on top of the dealership's own, a decision I now deeply regret. Although I managed to reclaim the funds associated with this ill-advised warranty, I remain burdened with the responsibility of paying the resulting interest. While I must acknowledge my own error in judgment, I am gravely infuriated by the fact that I repeatedly emphasized the absence of any technical issues with the Altima, expressing solely my personal dissatisfaction with the vehicle itself. Consequently, I find myself saddled with exorbitant monthly payments for a car that I harbor no affinity for, marking the highest financial burden I have ever encountered in my automotive history. The sad thing is that I have excellent credit and really could have purchased a vehicle I liked from another dealership.Bottom LINE DO NOT WORK with ***********************, *******************, *********************, ******************** or better yet....AVOID Peoria Nissan.Review from Tracy L

Disheartening Experience with Peoria Nissan - Potential Termination of Purchase I recently purchased a vehicle from Peoria Nissan on Black Friday, and unfortunately, the entire process has been nothing short of disheartening. Despite providing clarification about my valid military ID/drivers license under the ***9 **************** of ****** Safety clause, the dealership assured me the purchase was final. To my dismay, two days later, I received notice that my loan with Unify ******************** was not approved, causing undue stress for my family. Seeking resolution, I contacted Unify ******************** and, after being promised a specialist would reach out, I spoke with ***************************** (extension ****) today. Surprisingly, she assured me that my loan was approved, directly contradicting the information I received from Peoria Nissan. The lack of clear communication and the subsequent receipt of a Notice of Election to Rescind have left my family in an incredibly stressful situation. Its disheartening to experience such inconsistencies and unprofessionalism from a dealership, especially during what should have been a straightforward purchase.Adding to the frustration, despite informing the Financial Director **** and General Sales Manager ******************* that I could arrive on Thursday to resolve the issue, they proceeded with the purchase. As an Air Force Criminal Investigator, I am accustomed to handling complex situations with professionalism and understanding.I am reaching out to share my experience, hoping it raises awareness and encourages the dealership to improve its communication and business practices. No one should endure the stress and discomfort my family has faced due to this unfortunate situation.Sincerely,*************************Peoria Nissan Response

We apologize for the stress caused, but rest assured ****************** confirmed again this morning that they require a valid DL in order to purchase the contract. The DL presented has been expired for 10 years and they have said they do not recognize it as valid in the ****************. Again, apologize for the inconvenience but we are unable to fund this deal without the DL so we do not have a deal.Review from Nicole O

Avoid at all costs. Went in on the 21st to look at options and get idea of pricing for vehicles on the lot. Left with the possibility of doing business. Got the first call about 5 hours after leaving. I advised ******* we decided against the vehicle we were considering. Got 3 calls the next day advised again not interested and not liking how often they call and asked them to stop. Got 2 more calls the next day. Asked to stop calling again. Got another call the following day and advised that will not do business with them as their calls are now becoming harassment. They didn't call the next day. Then they called again to tonight and when my husband took the call and told them to stop harassing us that we will not do business with them and we will file harassment complaints if they continued the sales rep began laughing.Review from Javier M

Purchased a used car from them and they kept sneaking fees in the contract that we never agreed to. To the point where they snuck an extended warranty on to a 2008 used car. That was so laughable that the bank denied the contract, forced them to remove the warranty and draw up a new contract. But do you think that stopped Peoria Nissan from getting the last laugh...no sir. ******* they just sent the wrong (or in this case, the original amount s) and simply remove the extended warranty so that im now paying for something I didn't even get. That's how Peoria Nissan conducts business.
