My son was born prematurely with immune deficiency and required transportation to the children's hospital from the birthing center. Attached documents are the only proof of services rendered by phi. I received the attached letter from phi legal claiming I was willfully withholding a check for $5826.40 from phi issued to me by ********** Blue Shield of **********. I called insurance, check was sent, never cashed, probably lost in mail. BCBS is sending me a new check and I have contacted phi legal to work on remittance of payment however the letter from phi legal counsel making claims of willfully withholding funds is the first correspondence I received about the debt. I am requesting full reimbursement for the deplorable treatment I have suffered at the hands of phi poor business practices.Initial Complaint

My son *********************** was air lift from Crane, ** to *******, ** April 25th, 2021 account number on **** ********* amount $105,776.00. My insurance provider is ****************** plan number ************ Member ID ********* Group ******. Multiple times I have followed up with PHI and ****************** to follow up on the process of this ****. PHI informed me they mailed it almost always a week or two from when I called. United has also been in contact with PHI given them and verified address as well as fax numbers so they can send United the ****. PHI informed me that if this **** can not be received by United that we would be liable for our sons ****. Since his accident all other bills from the hospital have been processed and most have been paid. Not sure which side is being dishonest or if there is just a lack of communication between these two companies. We like to get this resolved so insurance can cover their portion and we can pay the left amount due in a timely manner.Business response
