      Consolidated Mechanical Contractors is the WORST HVAC company I have every worked with. I don't know how they stay in business. I had them install a new unit in my house via my home warranty. The install was all wrong in the attic. There was bad txv., the system was leaking air, not draining properly and the drain pain does not fit. We couldn't get the brand new unit to go below 81 degrees.They came out 4x to correct the unit after the install. After the 4th time, I gave them 1 star review with the home warranty company, then they refused to come out after that bad review. Every company the Home Warranty contacts says, that I need go back to the original HVAC company that installed in order to fix it but they won't take my calls anymore. URGH!!If you see their name listed on any emails or text messages from American Home Shield, call them immediately to have them contact another company to fix your HVAC problems. The review just saved you soo much heartache and stress.

      Consolidated Mechanical is horrible company! They took over a week to contact us after receiving the work order and multiple calls from myself. When they came out the tech forgot to write down the serial number and left. He never called or came back out, so after being told by the company that the part was ordered, 2 weeks later the company finally admitted that the tech never ordered the part. They told me another tech would come out the next day, but he never showed. The company reported that they never told the tech to come out and told me I needed to be patient and if I wanted this done timely then I should have used another company! We have a home warranty so I did not have a choice on who they selected. Consolidated Mechanical wanted to send another tech to come out to write down the serial number and still have not shown or ordered the part. It has been over 3 weeks that my young children have been without air while home all day from the summer. It is unacceptable in 115 degree temp. I have had to take days off work to be there for the tech and it has still not been resolved.

      I've been assigned Consolidated Mechanical through my warranty company, American Home Shield. I have INSISTED that AHS no longer send out CM however they continue to do so. I have had the same problems with my air conditioners for two years. CM has yet to resolve the issue. They will go a month at a time not answering calls or scheduling appointments to complete work orders. They have sent out the same technician who does things like changes the thermostat but 31 days later (when I'll have to pay a fee) something else with mysteriously go out. Each time he comes and does a bandaid repair and then will have to come back again within a month or so. This has gone on month after month for the last two *******. He refuses to assess the unit but instead makes one minor repair but overlooking the true issues with the unit.Now, just like other reviews, I all of a sudden have a leaky coil that costs $700 out of pocket to repair. Let me point out, the coils have already been replaced, or so they've said they've replaced them in the past.This company is untrustworthy and I would NOT recommend.

      This company has visited the rental property via American Home *********************** and tried to fix A/C coils as there was a leak. The repair was very expensive. But they ended up furthering the damage and causing secondary damage so now the coils have to be replaced.

      Do not use.My review of this company is about the same as others. They don't finish the job then turn it back on you. I have been running my A/C on their motor for a year and a half, whilst they have my brand new *** motor they had the warranty company pay for. They got the old one out but are hijacking me to remove my roof so they can install it. However they would be happy to sell me a brand new A/C and blower instead... They are as dishonest of a business as I have ever run against. They WILL take and not provide. Don't believe me? Read the reviews and complaints here and elsewhere. There is a reason for their low consumer rating. I don't know why BBB continues to protect their BBB rating -but they are. This company should be downgraded. I would *** if I didn't have to pay for the *** motor and service out of pocket to fix the mess they left me.

      This Consumer Complaint will address the following regarding Warranty Companies' terms regarding both AHS ****************** and Consolidated Mechanical ***** *** (CMC) (Contractor for services). False statements regarding service completed. Neglect of a senior citizen in extreme heat; Negligent in reimbursement for payment to the handyman for fixing the air conditioner and installing/repairing ducts under the house, which the contractor never researched or investigate, and the necessity for me to go to a hotel for employment purposes.

      We used Consolidated Mechanical for an A/C repair thru American Home Shield. We submitted an order on Monday, 6/6. ****** from Consolidated arrived on Wednesday, 6/8. I explained the problem to him and within 20 minutes he let me know that the unit was old and needs to be replaced and that he would be recommending full replacement on the work order as he could not get the unit to run **. I was told he would submit the order to the home warranty and they would be in touch for the next steps.On Friday, we reached out for a follow-up and the company assured us that they sent the request to American Home Shield. We call back on Monday 6/13 after American Home Shield said there was no work order sent to them for approval. I spoke with the *** ***** in an attempt to get this resolved ASAP. He was rude, unhelpful, and not at all empathetic to the fact that they wrongly closed my work order, lied about the ** working at 59 degrees when it hasn't been less than 84 degrees in my home for over a week now, and claimed there was nothing he could do. I cannot believe that there are companies treating customers like this who have zero respect or understanding for people and their homes in the ******* heat.It's 114 degrees outside and my house won't get below 84 degrees, and you don't think that's a problem? He told me I can contact another company if I am so unhappy with the service but my warranty company is making me use them. How about instead, you take accountability to fix the situation that you've caused? You try working from home with your husband and 2 dogs for 7+ days without any air conditioning when it's 114 degrees outside and let me know how that feels and how you'd react to someone telling you that "there's nothing they can do" and that "they don't want to hear it" when I complain about the heat and how frustrated with how this has been handled. I just want working air conditioning in my home....is that too much to ask for?

      These folks were very honest and upfront. brought to my attention what 3 other HVAC companies overlooked ( MOLD! ) I have used them in the past for a repair. I had an AHS HOME WARRANTY The warranty company did not take the advice of consolidated and insisted they just REPLACE ONE PART. AHS was made aware that my A/C was not going to work correctly. ! When it came time for y whole A/C unit to be replaced, I called consolidated to replace my whole unit. They were timely, honest, clean, professional, and gave me the best estimate by over 2 thousand dollars!I think people just like to complain about every little thing! I would and am going to use this company in the future!

      I would leave negative rating if possible.Contacted this company to fix my heater. First scheduled appointment was a no show. However, the company claimed no one was home. I was home all day, no phone call, nothing. They would not get a tech out that same day after the no show, instead provided rude service. Next attempt was a tech coming out and replaced a switch which did not correct the issue. Tech left, subsequent calls went unanswered. Third attempt the tech would not go on the roof. Granted it rained the previous evening, but did this person not realise this, was this tech not notice the wet roads? Could they not contact me to reschedule...nope!Avoid this company at all costs...unless you like to be given the run around!

      DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY They will show up give you a false reason for your air conditioner not working!!Incompetent individuals to speak to on the phone that will claim to call you back and then will not. *If your warranty company refers them insist on a different company.*
