Hello,We purchased our remodeled home in 10/22. Reeis was the contractor who installed the ** units. 5 months after moving in I noticed bubbling in the drywall and my doorway casing looked like it was bending away from the doorway. I talked to it with the ** who remodeled the house and he indicated it was nothing, just settling issues. On 3/22/24 water rushed from the canned light in the hallway, it was continually dripping. Our ** told us to get in touch with Reeis. Reeis came out to stop the leak. Afterward, Reeis had a drywall repair person call me to repair the drywall. I followed up with Reeis and our contractor to indicate that I believed the water from the ceiling was not an isolated incident, and that bubbling in the drywall and the door casing were also longstanding water issues and I would not accept their drywall person to come out and try to cover up the issue, as I was worried about potential mold. They agreed to let me bring in my contractor. Please note, that ***** from Reeis was very concerned about his costs the entire time. Indicating that mold remediators are essentially a scam. I indicated if there were mold I would want it handled appropriately, no matter cost. He indicated the first step would be to pull the drywall and then determine the plan of action. Please also note that it takes days for them to respond, and it feels as if they are dragging their heels. The remediators should have come out on 3/22. It is now a month later and they are still dragging their heels. I had a contractor lined up to do the work today 4/24/24 but Reeis said they would not pay for it if another contractor did the work, and only their contractor could do it. I haven't heard back from Reeis, and I don't want this dragged out another month. I would like to have my remediation company start on this ASAP as I don't feel comfortable living with mold. It was confirmed as we pulled the drywall. Maybe they'll respond faster through BBB.
