******************************* owner of Valleywide Parrot Rescue located at ******************************************************. I had a cockatoo parrot that I needed to rehome, I contacted Valleywide and *** came out to pick up my bird. I allowed *** to take his cage for MY BIRD'S use, *** assured me that would be the case, that his cage and travel cage were for him ONLY. This was on November 17,2023 that *** picked him up, *** also told me that my bird would be able to live his life at their santcuary. About 2 weeks later I got a call from *** telling me he had someone to "adopt" my **************** actually SOLD my bird for $1500.00 to a person with ABSOLUTLY NO experience with birds, about a week after that I get another call from *** telling me he had to go get my bird due to the roommate of the buyer abusing him. I was devistated. The following day I drove over to Valleywide in tears, I was told by one of his siblings that I had to call ***, I did and he told me I could go visit my bird on January 21, 2024, I spent 3 hours there with my bird. *** was told by me from the begining that IF my bird was to be "adopted" that he need to be in a single woman's home and no other animals, he did repeat this information to other prospective buyers. No sooner did I leave he "bullied" the lady next to me into taking my bird for another $1500.00, she wanted a much smaller bird. When she couldn't take care of him due to him being agressive she reached out to me, I went and got him from her. Since then *** has accused me of stealing my bird, made nasty comments to an about me in a response to a ****** review. We asked for our bird's cages back since they never did go with him as promised, he said he would put my bird's regular cage on the curb on February 3, 2024 as I had picked up my bird on February 2nd. A little bit later he refused to return it. He told another rescue that he had to sell my bird for food for others. He is now posting on his social media that he's moving and asking for "donations" to pay the rent.

On January *******, a cockatoo named ***** was adopted to me by Valleywide Parrot Rescue. I paid $1500.00 USD for this adoption. The owner did NOT disclose pertinent information regarding aggression and biting issues that ***** had in the past, which certainly would have affected my decision to adopt him in the first place. After several days, ***** was attacking other members of my household, forcing me to contact his previous owner because the owner of the rescue had already stated he would not refund my money. Initially, after ******* previous owner removed him, the rescue owner agreed that this was the best course of action, he had agreed to refund the full $1500. However, he then said he required me to sign what I deemed to be an unreasonable contract that infringed upon my rights, not only as a consumer, but my Constitutional rights as a US Citizen. He would not negotiate this, despite me offering a reasonable, legal, and viable solution and is now refusing to refund my money OR even negotiate at all. I have been forced to file a complaint with the **************************** and plan to file suit in small claims court if this cannot be settled outside of litigation.I can attach my narrative as submitted to the ** AG Office. I am happy to provide the other documentation, but it is MUCH larger than the 5MB that I am allowed to upload on here. Please feel free to contact me if physical copies are needed.
