This apartment complex should be sued in court for unnecessary fees (extortion). In addition to adding on a bunch of cam fees they want to charge me $125 for a trash bag that they say was to heavy?? My bad sorry for not weighing my trash bag. This is not the first time approximately a year ago maintenance crew left a big box with a bucket in it filled full of stuff out front my apartment. I explained this was not mine they gave me a brochure and told me I had to pay it even though it wasn't mine and maintenance left it out there Really? I have been a good tenant for 4 years always have paid my rent on time. This is unacceptable.

Original complaint was filed with BBB ******, **.While looking for an apartment in the ****** area, we toured Spyglass Apartments. My daughter is just starting out and would need a co-signer which were told and upfront and agreed to. We were told there would be no problem in being approved. We paid the $200 deposit and then received an email that the application was denied. We tried to call repeatedly and no one ever answers the phone. You get a voicemail and no one responds. We had no choice to move forward with another property because her current lease was expiring. When I finally got in touch by email with Tynishia, I thought we resolved the issue and it was promised that the deposit would be returned within 45 days. The refund never came. Since the time that it was promised, I cannot get a returned email or phone call as to why we still don't have it. All emails are attached.

Leasing office offered a $300-$500 referral bonus for any new tenants that signed a brand new lease with the complex. I referred a friend and she sign her lease back on 09/16/2022 for a 12 month period. After months of not hearing anything about my bonus, I called the office on 01/04/2023 inquiring to the status of my bonus. I was told by a lady named ******** she would find out the status and reach back to me. After four days without any call from the office or ********, I called back on 01/09/2023 again, asking as to the status of my bonus. I was told I would receive a call later today, which I did and was told to come into the office to sing a paper in order for me to finally get the ball rolling on the bonus.I went to the office around 2:30 pm also on 01/09/2023 and I let them know that if my bonus would be applied to my February's rent amount since I was leaving my unit as of 02/28/2023. I was told that because I was leaving at the end of February, that the bonus would not reach me in time because management sends all paperwork to corporate office by the end of January and then it would take between ***** days for them to provide the funds. I told them it was not my fault that the process was not started by them after all my personal info was given by the person I referred back on 09/16/2022. I was told that I should have asked for the status of the bonus at an earlier date and that it is not their fault I didn't do so, where no one ever said that it was my (tenant) duty to start the process ASAP. I signed the paperwork to have the bonus initiated but was told that after all this I would not be getting it and not sure what they did with my signed paperwork.
