Due to current economical climate we were trying to do good thing for (17) year old daughter by going through auction.We were on auction 6/18/2022 and high bidder for $2000 - 2014 Jeep Patriot ..... they provided a VIN# lookup Bumper.com which showed nothing out of the ordinary for vehicle When vehicle came up it was passed up and I had no idea what was happening?? .... I followed up and got email on Monday 6/20 and I asked if they would take $4k-4500 ... again this is my daughters money and wanted a car They came back and said $4500 was good and w/taxes and other charges $5900 was settled on We drove down and picked up car on 6/24 ... we ended up throwing another $300 dollars just to get car running and get back 100 miles home from ****** to *******, ** With Gods help we got home somehow safely .... the next AM I took to mechanic that had told me, "how did you get home" ....why?.... the engine to this vehicle was NOT mounted on to the car .. the frame where engine lies showed a lot of damage ... again nothing said on DESCRIPTION ... other cars on auctions had description of problems for sure on other cars ..... this again was not out of ordinary .... bottomline the mechanic said just to possibly get this street safe/legal was close to $5K ... basically way over what we paid and possibility of transmission was another $7-8K in todays climate the rep nor management has answered any of my emails for problems for safety of that vehicle and for my daughter or my life in driving basically a COFFIN back home ..... there has been no address or apology accept for conversation when I was there about 1hr after transaction after putting new battery, new tire & filling an empty take of gas *********** basically has no consideration of life of the customer and selling something so dangerous and this leads me to believe the money talks and life is not important This saddens us as a consumer and has turned our daughter against us because of non-response of Sierra

Sierra Auction totally misrepresented the vehicle and did not state that the car was not running. I got it moved to ********** via auto carrier who indicated that the vehicle did not even get on the truck easily. After receiving the car from the carrier I tried moving the vehicle into my drive way but found the transmission jammed I emailed the sierra auction but they did nothing to help me and said all sales are final and they are not responsible for any faults that the vehicle may have. I understand that but I was never told that the car was not running.
