On March 13, 2021 I dropped my **** Pontiac Grand Prix GTP off at Los Amigos Auto Salvage to have my transmission "Rebuilt/Reconditioned". At least that's what ****** said at Los Amigos Auto Salvage. He quoted me $1,150.00 total, for the parts, labor, and tax. He said it would take about 3-5 days for it to be finished, which was acceptable to me. It took 2 weeks for it to be finished after numerous phone calls and being told it will be done tomorrow, then the next day same thing. When I picked it up it was making a whining noise. There was also a rattling noise coming from the front of the vehicle and it was pulling to one side when applying the brake. I noticed that two transmission to engine bolts were missing and /or loose. The right side sway bar end link bolts, caliper bolts loose, hood strut wasn't connected & the clip was missing, they crimped a power steering line. I called ****** and he said it was my power steering pump. About a month went by and the whining started to get worse and the car wasn't shifting correctly. I called ****** and dropped the car back off to him. He said to give him a couple of days. After a week he said there is nothing wrong with the transmission and that its my power steering pump. I removed the drive belt to see if the noise went away, it did not. That told me it was the transmission. I called ****** back and he said bring it back. Another week and a half went by until it was "finished". He said he changed out the valve body. Again it was making the same noise. I checked it out and nothing was done to the car. The bolts I marked were never removed. So I continued to drive it and in November the trans went bad. Wont shift out of 2nd gear. He said bring it back so I did on November 30, 2021. He said the warranty was still valid because I was having problems since first picking it up in March 2021. Everytime I call him its some excuse why he hasn't fixed it. It's been over 5 months now. I can.t afford ubers anymore.
