I became a member of Prose Nails. I was visiting family in WI and bought a membership. I switched the membership to MN and had credits saved up. The store that was closest to me went out of business so I called the nex closest store to get my money back. The lady at this new estalishment informed me Prose had filed for bankruptcy. I have contacted my credit card company and due to the timing, they cannot give me my money back. I had about $600 in credits.

In Nov or Dec of 2021, I purchased a Prose gift certificate from the Midtown location on Camelback. I paid $50 and the gift certificate states that it can be used at any location and does not expire. My sister attempted to use the gift certificate at the location on ************* in the fall of 2022 and was told that because the location where I purchased the gift cert closed, that they could not honor it. At that time, someone who works at that location gave me an email point of contact and I never received a response when I reached out, so I did a ****** search to find the corporate office, but when I called, the call went to ***************** location. I've never received a reply from any email address that I've found online for Prose corporate. A photo of the gift certificate is attached and I simply want a refund for the $50. They should honor any gift certificate they are presented no matter the location where it was purchased based on their fine print on the gift cert.

went into prose Arcadia yesterday, my mother had given me a prose gift card about a year ago. I finally decided to go in and use it! My sisters birthday was yesterday so we met up there to get a pedicure. Upon checking out I was told my gift card was invalid, it wasnt registered to an account and that there was nothing they could do. Little did I know the card was purchased at the phoenix location that has since closed down. Apparently those two stores are not affiliated with each other anymore and the cards at *** wouldnt work at Arcadia since they are now independent. So thats when I started to cry. I had about 125$ on the gift card, the day I finally get the courage to treat myself. They deny my card and give me a whole 10$ for the inconvenience. I walked out of there having to use my disability money to cover the cost.My issue here isnt that I lost 125$. Its that they didnt do anything about it but discount me and give me an email to contact. The receptionist gave me an email but proceeded to console me and invaded my personal space (unwarranted physical contact) while patronizing me with apologies in a baby voice. When I got home I wrote a lengthy email stating the situation. I asked at the end if there was anything they could possibly do, i had asked if I could potentially get my money back, nothing about asking for a free treatment or Expecting a free treatment. Simply if there was anything they could do, if I could get my money back or my mother or again if anything at all. Today my sister called me saying someone from prose had left her a voicemail about my email. I dont have an account there so I gave my information in the email as well as my mother and sisters, they contacted the person with the most recent account activity. I called them back leaving my number and got a call back from a woman named ******. ****** stated in the phone call verbatim that they cant just give away free treatments because they are a mom and pop shop. Again I didnt ask for a free treatment so not only did she take my words out of context and insulted me but she also lied. *** worked for a number of mom and pop spas, nail salons and other establishments. You can absolutely refund me or offer a credit, or service, most Especially when you are a mom and pop shop. ****** proceeded to tell me why they couldnt do anything because nobody had explained it to me yesterday. She stated that the interaction would have been handled differently had she been there and the receptionist was unaware how to handle said issue.Im a grown adult in my 30s. When I had called back I assumed they were going to do something about my issue. After this entirety of a run around ****** ONLY had the intention of explaining to me why they couldnt do anything. Completely wasting my precious time and energy not only trying to get ahold of her but also to lie to me in the end. If there was nothing they could do then thats that. If I had asked why she couldnt do anything, that would be a different story.Im ****** I couldnt just get an email about this. Its a simple no, not a long excuse of an explanation why they couldnt take responsibility of the issue at hand. Instead playing it off as if they were never affiliated with the other store. Upon more research I see this is not the first time this had happened! There are many reviews with the same issue. Nobody told anyone the store was closing. Nobody told anyone the two stores arent owned by the same people anymore. No information from the company, f*** a f*** you we took your cash and theres nothing we can do. Except there is, they hire licensed estheticians and artists under their own contracts, they all get a percentage of profits and an annual revenue. They can make up for this, im not expecting them to, i just dont appreciate being patronized, TOUCHED BY A STRANGER, belittled, and lied to. Never coming here again, obviously.

I signed up for a promo membership for their nail salon for a gran opening special. The nail salon did not open on time and got there opening push back 2 months and I forgot about signing up for the membership In May 2021 and and in January of 2022 I got an email from my credit card company stating I had a reoccurring charge for a nail salon for several months. I contacted the nail salon about the rear current charges on my credit card and that I haven't used the membership ship they told me they would not issue me a refund at that time I have not used the membership at that point and I already had a $1000 charge for the memberships credited to my account at that point I contacted the The manager on duty as I found out that I was moving in 2 months and would not be able to use the complete membership as there's not a prose nails and/or by where I'm moving to I then asked for a refund and they denied it I did call the credit card company to dispute the charges and and they told me that I would have to get a credit from the nail salon in return asked the nail salon if I could pass the membership to a friend of mine or into a different name since I was moving and there was no prose nails by my Hometown and they said they would get back to me and I never received anything. I used what I could in the 2 months before I moved and are still waiting for a manager to get back to me so I can see if they'll refund the rest of the balance of $514. It took me over 3 months to get a hold of someone to cancel the membership after I found out about the reoccurring charges that was over $1000. I'm simply asking for a refund of the credit on my account I can't use. That seems fair since no prose nails in my location to use the membership
