1/29/2022 To Whom It May ********* had my wood laminate planks installed in May of 2019. I went through Distinctive Construction Group; License # ********* for the purchase and installation. November of 2021 when I was mopping my floor I noticed a gap between the planks. I proceeded to do a walk-through of my house where they installed the rest of the planks. I noticed in several areas where the installation took place where there where gaps between each of the planks. The first call I placed (latter part of November) was to ******************* at Distinctive Constructive Group due to my concerns that my flooring is starting to separate. He came to the house to inspect the flooring and then advised he would have his crew come back out for further inspection. ***** crew came out on 12/18/21 where they inspected each area of the house where they installed the planks. On 12/20/21 **** left me a voicemail and advising me that his installation crew stated that the flooring was defective. He stated he needed to file a claim with ******************. ****************** came to my residence on 1/21/2022 to also inspect the flooring from the claim that **** filed on my behalf. I received an email from Distinctive who received a letter from ***** at ****************** who states he was denying my claim based on these being normal gaps and that they are within tolerance of the plank. I called Distinctive and spoke to ******************************* the owner of the company to voice my concerns on the denial of my claim. This company continues to use words such as temperature and cleaning technique. The letter clearly states that my temperature in my house seems fine (which to this day no one has explained that these floors are maintained by temperature). They have verified that the cleaning product that I use is correct. The term that the floors are expected to shrink has come up a couple of times however, this was not disclosed when purchasing this product.
