In terms of tax preparation he's been great, but once I trusted him with about $15,000 for an investment type deal several things went wrong. Could not resolved anything in over 7 months, no documentation, no contact information or number, no way of getting any type of return. At this point I think the money is gone as there is no way of accessing it, or even referencing the funds. In terms of tax he is operating legally as far as I can tell, but investment-wise I'm completely in the dark. My attorney advised contacting the ******************* of *********** which has no authority over this individual, or firm. And due to the amount the next step is going to be a bit rough...The worst part is that anything in terms of tax, investment, or any deal at this point would be a conflict of interest. Hence, everything is now on hold until this is resolved. There were ways to resolve this, but all efforts to get those in process have failed thus far. Note: Rating for taxes would be in my case 5 stars, but ability to follow through on investments would be a 1 star at best. Thus I'm not sure what give as a rating.Splitting the difference on the rating here. And moving to the last possible step to resolve the issue.

9, April 2022: Judgement now being sent 3rd party. For some reason email, mail, and calling is a week, or more delay at best in my case, that and it leave not record (trail to follow). As there was no response to a proposed settlement, and he seems to keep changing residences contact by other means has been initiated. This solves the moving problem and moves everything forward. It is very doubtful any of this money will every be recovered, but for tax reasons this step is necessary. Moreover, I referred my friend to Darrin. One year later, no refund. Not sure why that happened. He hired another tax person, and in a very short time got his refund. Seems there were errors, and unknown factors. So, almost 1.5 years later the refund came. And, yes there's more... Read of this site there's another person who was affected by Darrin as well, but on a much smaller level. Thus far that makes three that I know of. This needs to stop, any normal accountant would just handle things and be done with it. As the ******* ***** ***** ** *********** will not help in this instance a suit had to be filed. These can last 11 months, so it might all be complete by years end.
