      July 2022:I visited my fathers headstone with my grandfather for the first time and noticed that the picture on the headstone was still missing. My grandfather had previously inquired about this issue but had been brushed off.During this visit, my grandfather paid for a replacement of my fathers headstone picture and an engraved sentence. We had a meeting with an employee to finalize these arrangements.January to December 2023:Throughout the year, I followed up multiple times in January, February, March, and December to check on the status of the engraving and the replacement picture.The rubbing for the headstone sentence was completed, but there was no progress or follow-up regarding the picture.I was assured by the business that they would follow up with me via email. The gravesite manager, one of the employees I was in contact with, failed to consistently respond to my emails seeking updates.End of 2023:Frustrated by the lack of response, I reached out to Yelp to leave a review about my experience. Following this, another manager got involved and sent a follow-up email, indicating that my complaint was being taken seriously.April 2024:I received an email from the manager with a specific date for the completion of the engraving, which was indeed completed in April 2024. However, the photo replacement was still pending.I was given an estimate that the picture would be completed by the end of April 2024.June 2024:I visited my fathers headstone in June 2024, around Fathers Day, to see if the picture had been replaced as promised. Unfortunately, it had not been completed.I sent multiple emails seeking updates but received no response.July 2024:As of July 2024, my fathers headstone picture is still missing, despite ongoing assurances and payments made for its replacement. My father has been without a headstone picture for at least the past 10 years.

      My grandma was buried here on January 18 2023, and fast forward 11 months she STILL doesn't have the 2023 scroll and the broken vase has never been fixed. In October 2023 they admitted they lost the work order and promised to expedite it. As of this complaint, we still don't have a scroll or a vase, and we're not allowed to leave our own vase or they'll remove it. And what were we told? It's "first come first serve" ... and I guess if they want to string you along, they just have to "lose" the work order. Don't get me started on the conditions of the grounds, it looks terrible!Beside the fact that this service was PAID for, this company's behavior is reprehensible! How dare they tell grieving people we can't honor our family because they dropped the ball? It's absolutely shameful!

      Resthaven has not provided a service (final engravement on tomb stone) that has previously been paid for. Transaction Details: 6/21/23 paid $345.00 for Final Engravement to be carved onto tomb *****. Deceased full name, DOB - DOD information and extra agreed upon wording. ******** confirmed to have service completed after 6 weeks of payment received. However it has been 15 weeks since payment was made, and service has not been rendered. Contacted merchant on several occasions and spoke with ******************* Location Manager. Merchant has not been able to provide resolution for services. Merchant is unwilling to assist or resolve issue.

      Monday, 05.29.23 (Memorial Day) I visited Resthaven Cemetery as I do each year. This year I found the cemetery to be in an extremely dilapidated state. It appears as though there is no grounds keeper to maintain the cemetery. I attempted to speak with someone regarding this and got the "run around" with several different excuses. I have tried calling for two days to speak with whoever is in charge and get the same excuses. Several headstones were covered in grass / weeds, trash / debris was noted everywhere and there were intermittent large patches of dead grass. Many vases were missing from the headstones. ******** flags were laying on the ground instead of having been put in the ground. I decided to not put flowers on many of the family ****** due to how deplorable the condition of the cemetery was. To see a cemetery in this condition was appalling and so disrespectful to both family and those interred there... complete disrespect!!! It's not like we can dig up our loved ones and move them to a cemetery that cares... we are stuck as is... this is wrong and needs to be corrected and never allowed to happen again. I would not recommend Resthaven Cemetery to anyone at this point in time!!!

      I did not know how to respond to the response I received today from Resthaven ….  
      He stated I contacted BBB after putting in my complaint with Resthaven which is untrue.   I filed my complaint with BBB after more than a week of repeatedly being 
      told someone would call me back to discuss my complaint which, to date, no one has called me back.   On approximately my 15th + call to Resthaven, I finally was 
      put in touch with someone who heard my complaint and informed me what the “plans” were to resolve the issue.   By this time, I had already submitted my complaint 
      with BBB.   I then sent an email to Resthaven showing pictures of the “mess” I saw at the cemetery on Memorial Day.   I have never heard back from anyone regarding 
      my email with pictures.   

      This cemetery has gone down hill in the last couple of years and it’s a shame how they treat family and disrespect the deceased.  They used to be much better.
