I applied and attended Aspen University for my Doctoral program in Nursing (DNP). Every program has areas of needed improvement, but ultimately, when I needed help and reached out the solution was easily provided. While many students complain, they cannot seem to figure out how to adult and reach out for help. *********************************, ***********************-AVAILABLE ANYTIME, EVEN WEEKENDS TO ************* OF FRUSTRATION AND SOLVE AN ISSUE. *********************************, *******************************, and ***********************-ALL FOCUSED ON MY PROJECT. Helped me develop, write, re-write, re-write.....until perfection came in the end and I not only graduated but am ready to publish. I have had a couple of Academic Advisers in my 2.5 years with Aspen and every one of them is knowledgeable in getting me the help I need to not only graduate with honors, Sigma Theta Tao & with recognition of the **************** of ********** and Success. I have to add in *********************************** and ******************************* are not only amazing at support and stats, they provide it in a manner that one can actually understand. Students get frustrated and things are not perfect when we have degrees, families, meals to make at night, lunches to pack for school. Reach out to your academic advisor, then your instructor, then the **** of your department-every single person is on your side to get you to the degree you want to achieve and help you achieve your visions.

I began in 2021 Pheonix campus for the *** program. I finished all my prerequisite classes and called into the school to start the main course for nursing school. Only to find out they lost their accredited status and were advised to either wait 13 to 16 months or move my family to another state to complete the program. Now I am ****** in debt and struggling to find a school that will except the classes. I did email the financial **** and was told I need to find a school to accept the credits and the credits that are not expected might not be refunded. Going to aspen was the worse decision I have made and regretted it. Aspen University and its employees are extremely rude when you are trying to find out answers, they treat you like it was your fault they lost their accreditation. The school and its employees need to take a good look in the mirror and take responsibility for their actions. it's now 2023 and I still haven't started a program because the schools that work with my schedule, won't accept my credits, I can't afford to get into more ****.

I began at this school last year (2021) at the Phoenix Campus. I had put all my time and effort into finishing my prerequisites for their pre-licensure BSN program and luckily I completed all of them. About 2 weeks before I was to be told if I was accepted into their core nursing program I was told I could not finish with the school. They sent out a mass email stating that they are no longer accepting any new students into their nursing corhorts because they became unaccredited due to their low NCLEX scores. But they claimed they were accepting students to complete their pre-requisites. I am sure that they knew they were going to become unaccredited due to their NCLEX score but yet took on a variety of us students trying to start are BSNs and screwed us over. They offered us a discount on all of their other programs and even offered for us to finish at another school out of state. But for me I had been wanting to go to nursing school and then they tell me I couldnt continue with their program after putting money in. Also being told I could change my major what is that about??? Now we are all having to find brand new nursing schools. Also several of these classes that I have taken do not transfer over to other accredited schools. I would not recommend this school one bit.

I was attending Aspen University for MSN in nursing education. I completed 10 of the 12 required courses. I was unable to find practicum placement due to lack of agreements between the healthcare organization and Aspen and lack of regional accreditation. Alerted my advisor and practicum coordinator and was told we do not find placement for students. I was not looking for placement but wanted Aspen to be aware of my situation and to offer possible ideas/solutions. I received no guidance after several attempts. Problem number two was that I needed to be enrolled in a class by the end of January 2022 or I would need to reapply. A practicum site must be approved prior to enrolling in the last two classes. I was at a complete standstill. When I asked what was involved in reapplying, I received no answer. I finally decided to cut my losses and terminate the program and Aspen University. I wasted two years of my life and $$$$$ in the process. Do your due diligence when researching nursing programs as cost is not the only aspect to consider. Also, credits do not transfer do to lack of regional accreditation. I do not recommend Aspen University.

I am here again, unfortunately. Due to the fact that I feel like I am being discriminated against by the financial department of Aspen Phoenix location. I started my second term on 28 September, prior to the start of my class, I contacted the financial department via email to ensure I was up to date with my financial aid. After emailing them, I received an email stating that everything was up to date and I was good to go. Shortly after I decided to double check this information, so I scheduled an appointment with one of the financial advisors. He looked into my financial information and informed me that everything was up to date and explained some other details of my financial aid such as my stipend. In the beginning of November, I received an email from the ******************** stating that some documents were missing from my file, this threw me off considering the fact that I reached out twice to the financial advisors to look into my file for me and at the time they told me that everything looked fine and there were no actions needed. So imagine after reaching out not once but TWICE and being informed that your financial records were up to date and everything was good to go. Then a WHOLE MONTH later receiving an email stating that actions were needed regarding your financial aid...like that is the reason I contacted them TWICE. Not only that but I ended up finding out that the action needed was NOT from me but a lack of action from the financial aid advisors. To make a long story short, I was FINALLY able to get my financial file corrected after JUMPING THROUGH HOOPS just to speak with someone to help me. The reason why I feel like I am being discriminated against is because I have been ignored and dismissed multiple times. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ACTION NEEDED WAS DUE TO A LACK OF PERFORMANCE FROM THE FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT. So I am jumping through hoops to ensure they do their job? Now after the fact of FINALLY resolving my financial information, I received an email titled, 'Disbursement Notification'. I noticed unlike any other time, my post date was pushed 4 days out from the time I received the email. However, EVERY time previously my post date was literally the next day upon me receiving the email...NOW all of a sudden the post date is pushed 4 days out from me receiving the email???? I truly feel like this was done out of spite. This has been an ongoing thing where my calls have been ignored and so forth...I am tired of this lack of professionalism...all I ask is for these people to do their job...I feel so helpless and hopeless in this situation and it is providing unnecessary stress especially being a nursing student, this is starting to affect my performance in my courses, and I feel so defenseless...If someone could please help me....At this point I am unsure what to do and I am so tired and frustrated...
