THIS PLACE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! This is the WORST dentist office out there! I called in the morning with a dental emergency and scheduled an appointment and had to take time off work only to get a text (not even a phone call!) that they rescheduled my appointment to a different time. When I called they told me they scheduled someone else at the same time as me so my appointment had to be changed even though I am in pain and in a dental emergency. The person they chose to see for my appointment time was not. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!!!Review from p. k

this is the worst dental office i have ever been to. dont waste your time and money. avoid the aggravation experience. i had to go to another dental office to correct the shabby work they did. their lab is even worse than they are. i guarantee youll be writing a negative review of your experience. best advise read the other reviews. its not just me.

Something isn't right. My husband goes to Risas, zi go to MHC Dental. We share the same insurance. I never pay a ***** at MHC, but Risas who, supposedly, is geared towards the less affluent, always charges my husband over $90 before they even start work. They have never reimbursed him. Bye bye Risas...nothing funny about these guys.Review from Monique P

Complete 0, definitely felt like a quick cash customer for them and not a real human being that should receive the services I paid for "up front" mind you, by a more qualified hygienist. I had received braces back home in ******, ** and they had cost the same and they would actually do a very well job cleaning my teeth every time I needed to go in for adjustments. When I received new braces at Risas Dental on Valencia in ******, ** they had a deal going on because they had just opened that branch and before I paid for all of the services at once I asked them specifically about if my retainers and cleanings were going to be with the package I was paying for that day and the employee said yes! I needed braces on again because I was in a bad car accident so to my seizure disorder and my body was exerted out the front windshield and my teeth were loose. I wish I never got them here because they never once kept the promise of cleaning my teeth very well at all and every time I would go in I felt like since I already paid that I really couldn't do much it's been about two years now since off, but when the dental associate began taking them off began the real pain I really thought all my teeth were good to fall out there and then plus I am still picking bonding compound off my teeth because she would start cutting my gums and I had had it. Well now I'm loosing my teeth and I am so frustrated because you can see were all the damage is now is because of the braces they had put on me and basically had thrown me to all their new students to learn from and I clearly did not sign up for that. So now I already lost half of one of my back teeth and all my front bottoms clearly have cavities before they begin to fall out. I'm only 38 and because I needed these braces I had to pick this place! Yesss, I would clean my teeth all throughout the day and night....Risas Dental and Braces Response

**** and ******** *******, don't go to this Risas. Worst young dentist wannabe pushing up-selling as taught by a chain for care of my well being, up-selling has no place in healthcare. Only chains would teach, push such practices. My back to the assistant as she rattles off costs of unnecessary work behind me and all I came for was a cleaning. The dentist I had 6 months ago for my cleaning wasn't half bad, but she quit, I see why now. Had the least thorough cleaning of my life by an assistant, not a trained hygienist. I need another cleaning yet they charged full amount and no insurance left to get a proper cleaning and checkup for 6 months.Review from Antonio G

Do not waste your time and money on risas. My daughter had braces put on in January of 2019 and the orthodontist said she would have the braces on for 2 years, it is now 5 years later and the orthodontist now says it should be another 2 years. This is the third orthodontist since she got braces put on. We paid off the bill within a year of having her braces put on. Now she's in college and we're having to spend more money to fly her back to ****** every other month, now at least $10k in the hole with no end in sight. They tell you what you want to hear then once they take your money they don't care.Review from Trish G

How do you tell a walk in customer to pay the day of extraction and he does so only to later take $300 more two weeks later from his card? When I called them they say they cant do anything about services or charges that were rendered prior to them taking money from the card two weeks later. They are scammers and services should be sought elsewhere! The agreed price was paid day of service ($150)but since we used his card they took more.Review from Alissa R

I got my braces off about a week ago and I am not happy with my results. I still have a pretty big overbite, there is parts of my bite block left over, and my teeth do not aligned. I spoke to the orthodontist, and she said that my mouth is naturally like shape like that and she thinks it looks good. However, I got a second opinion from another orthodontist, and they said they will be able to fix the misalignment and over bite. I paid a lot of money for my braces and I should be happy with my outcome.Review from Mary Z.

I have been taking my two girls to ***************** on 35th av and Camelback for about 4 years because they dont have insurance and it was cheaper than other places. The thing is that every six months, according to them 1 of the girls had cavities and I had to pay $500 for each treatment. The last time I took them (July 2023) they stated that my oldest daughter had a huge cavity that according to them she needed a crown. I overheard the doctor telling the assistant that she had seen it 6 months ago but of course she didnt do anything about it until a year later. My daughter was the first one to realize that something was wrong since they had to do treatments every 6 months when they (with my help) were doing everything they could to prevent them from getting cavities. I agreed with her and took her to get a second opinion. I didnt tell the other clinic about the diagnostic. It was surprising to us when the other clinic informed us that my daughter was fine and had no cavities. Of course I went back to ***************** and told them what they had said but they kept saying that their doctors are very honest and wouldnt lie about that. I know they are lying because if my daughter had a huge cavity like they say, my daughter would be crying with pain and her tooth would be swollen, which she has not. I will never be taking my girls to any of the Risas Dental clinics even if its cheaper for a cleaning because later on you end paying more than other clinics with all the treatments (according to them) that they do. In addition to this, they would cancel and reschedule my girls appointments every time they wanted to. Worse service ever.Review from Marie

Run! Do not use this company. They are not any more affordable than others but the service is awful. Everything from billing to dentists have been a Nightmare
