Sales person called me told me he was in the neighborhood. Asked me if he could stop by I said yes. He showed up 3hrs later which suggests he was not in my neighborhood. I explaind to him that anything would have to be approved by my neice (who is in the insurance field ). My niece didn't approve. The premium was too high (***** for $*****). I immediately called *********************** to cancel the ins. They still took out ***** which cause me to have an insufficient funds. I searched for life insurance policies within the last few days, and two men arrived at my house knocking loudly multiple times and yelling out my name loud enough for neighbors to hear. I was not present, but this was startling for my roommate to have two men unexpectedly arrive at our residence knocking loudly and yelling my name. She did not answer the door for safety reasons. They did not ring the doorbell at any time and left a "Delivery Notice". This is a borderline deceptive tactic as there is nothing that requires being "delivered" in person. Small print on the notice indicates it is time and date sensitive information about a funeral advantage program, which I have not requested any information about. My original visit to the website was to search for life insurance information and at no time did I request or desire an in-person visit.Lincoln Heritage Funeral Advantage Response

The agent showed up at my door unannounced saying I had filled out something online and then called me the next day when I know I never gave out my phone number. I think they are a bit rude and aggressive and because of that I will not be doing business with them because who wants to be tricked into buying anything. I've heard great things about this company over the years and have colleagues who have been long time customers. The **********************'s website is very informative and transparent as well. Compared to other companies out there I have researched,Lincoln Heritage seems to be one of the top tier companies in terms of customer service! I plan on recommending to my friends in need of coverage. They are very reputable when it comes to paying out their claims and taking care of their clients. Although I am not a senior, I like what they do in making the family is able cover the funeral costs especially when a lot companies can take several weeks to months to pay out on the claims. My parents are clients of Lincoln Heritage for 15 years. One of my parents recently passed away and they were told their policy covered every cent of expense. Well it turns out that Lincoln Heritage is only paying out $5,000.00. Keep on mind My parents paid over $15,000 throughout the 15 years of being clients. Now, my parent is short 10k to lay then to rest. The company said we could take out a loan of $2700.00 at an 8% interest rate. What about all the money my parents paid into this company? I'd like to warn everyone to not fall for companies like these and better go to a funeral home and buy a plan there with them where there will be no tricks to the policy and you will be 100% covered.Lincoln Heritage Funeral Advantage Response

First please let us send our sincere condolences on the loss of your parent. Please note that the policies sold by Lincoln Heritage Life Insurance Company are primarily level benefit whole life policies intended to pay for final expenses. This means that the death benefit is requested at the time of application and premiums are payable for the lifetime of the insured. All insurance is protection against risk. The premium pays for protection against a covered event. Sometimes an insured pays only a small portion of the death benefit in premium before the insurance coverage is needed. Sometimes the insured is fortunate enough to live a long life and in so doing may pay more in premium over the years than the policy benefit. A 'representative' (salesperson) came to my house today, though I was not expecting anyone from the company to come see me. He said I had returned their mailer requesting information. Even if I had, I still did not expect or want anyone to come to my home. When I explained to the person that I had no interest in speaking with him or doing business with him, he became very rude, insulting, hateful, and condescending, including calling me a few nasty names. Not a great thing to do while wearing a uniform with your company name on it and acting as an agent of your company! I will certainly never do business with this company, and I hope that this is not the usual way you treat people who are not receptive to unannounced and unanticipated visits from your agents! Would he have spoken this way to me had I been a man? Perhaps he would have used different words, but I certainly hope it was just frustration at not being welcomed rather than some misogyny and toxic masculinity being the driver behind his behavior, though I certainly picked up on some of that....Lincoln Heritage Funeral Advantage Response

I would like to say that I erroneously misinterpreted a charge on my banking statement and cancelled my policy. I have found a new insurance company that costs me less and pays out more. Good morning. We extend our condolences for the loss of you mother. Please call us at ************ which is our service center. They can help you see if we have a policy for your mom. You will need at least her name, date of birth and address. You could also go to ****************************************************, which is a service from the **** (National Association of Insurance Commissioners) where you enter information about your loved one and the information is sent out to numerous companies to locate life insurance policies.
