In early 2021, I received care from VAC providers as part of an inpatient hospitalization at HonorHealth Deer Valley Hospital. At the time of my admission, HonorHealth was provided my accurate insurance information, but VAC subsequently billed the wrong insurance company and they claim was, of course, denied. Between June 2021 and October 2021, I contacted VAC 7 times to provide them accurate insurance information and was assured on multiple calls that they would rebill the correct insurance. Despite that the billing error was due to their error, they turned me over to collections and I received the first collections notification in September 2021. I subsequently called both VAC and the collections agency and was told multiple times the account was being removed from collections while insurance was being rebilled. VAC did not submit the claim to my health insurance company until March 2022 and it was paid in full by our insurer within 14 days of the claim submission. Unfortunately, the collections agency continues to attempt to collect money from me that I do not owe to them. I have provided multiple rounds of documentation to both VAC and the collections agency showing that I do not owe this amount and neither of them have removed my account from collections. In September, I filed a BBB complaint and VAC ignored this complaint. I am requesting that VAC immediately recall my account from collections and take steps necessary to document that my account should NEVER have been turned over to collections as the billing error was on their part, not mine.Initial Complaint

I received care at a hospital where my insurance was in-network. I later received a **** from Valley Anesthesiology Consultants, and because they had not billed my insurance, I sent them my insurance information via ***** They still did not **** my insurance and subsequently turned my account over to collections. On 9/27/21, I phoned their billing department and, again, provided my insurance information. I have been informed they will now **** my insurance and will recall my account from the collection's agency.
