Date 8/14/2023 No money The business was to provide me with how the damage was caused and cost of repair.The mechanic took pictures and said he would get back to me in two days. Earnhardt Lexus never called me back. I never received the diagnosis or cost of repair I then called Lexus Brand Engagement ************. ****** # *********** They contacted the dealer and they were told the damage was due to , outside influence they closed the case Problems:1. The mechanic took less than three minutes to look at the car and never called me back. He failed to test or adequately inspect the plastic to insure that it was reasonably safe and suitable for its intended purpose and use so as to insure that it was not unreasonably dangerous. 2. Lexus claims the plastic damage was caused by , outside influences but the inspection of the car was less than three minutes. I am claiming the plastic was not a reasonably fit or even safe for the high temperatures in AZ for its intended purpose.3. No warning on the car plastic about high temperatures: Lexus should have warned about high temperatures and dangerous hot plastic. The location is also where you would place hot drinks as well.4. The dealership never called me back to inform me about the cause of the problem 5. Lexus , *****, ** CLOSED the case even though I tried to contact them. They would not release their report or pictures ,.3.Business response

**************** complaints that his controller pad was manufactured defectively and that repairs to it should be covered by his manufacturers warranty are properly directed at Lexus, the vehicles manufacturer. Lexus has sole and exclusive authority with respect to both matters. Earnhardt Lexus representatives explained this to ************* when he brought his vehicle in.
Earnhardt Lexus also promptly submitted **************** claim to Lexus for a determination about warranty coverage. And it then promptly informed ************** of Lexuss denial of his claim based on its determination that the issue with the controller pad did not exhibit any material or workmanship failure and instead appeared to be a result of some outside influence.
Earnhardt Lexus has engaged in no wrongdoing in this matter.Customer response

The Lexus dealer spent less than 5 minutes and failed to test or adequately inspect the plastic to insure that it was reasonably safe or suitable for its intended purpose and use so as to ensure that it was not unreasonably dangerous .
Lexus should have warned about high temperatures and melting dangerous plastic . ******* is known for high temperatures .There was know warranting label
Finally, the dealership never called be back to report their findings or to tell me the cost of repair.
