On 12/2, received unsolicited call from Progressive Painting LLC **** ** ********** *** regarding giving me a quote on painting needs, offering "free paint" promotion. I made appointment for next day,12/3. They called next day and said estimator had a death in the family and had to move appointment. Made it for 12/7. A David G****** showed. up on the 7th, looked around the house and quoted me $1,800 inside and $3,800 for outside, PLUS PAINT. He said it normally costs much more but was giving me super deal too keep men working. He then said he wasn't aware the free paint offer was still going, so my offer was even more super! I asked for written quote. He took my e-mail account and Sid it would come in the afternoon, as they promise 3 day service.. I waited, but nothing arrived. I called him on the 7th on his cell and told him I didn't receive the quote. He took my email again and asked me what he quoted. I had written it down and told him. He said I'd have it later. It's now the 12th and I still haven't received anything. from them! I assume they have changed their mind considering it's the 14th, 11 days after their 3 day guarantee. BTW. you might be interested to know they have the BBB Logo large print on both sides of their truck, the quoters shoulder on shirt, and BOTH sides of their business cards. Guaranteeing 100% satisfaction. I am not satisfied, to say the least, and expect a little more from a company who the Better Business Bureau recommends. It appears they changed their original address, but not their quality of service.Business response

We have the highest of standards and will not enter into a contract unless we can meet and exceed our standards of providing premium paint services with customer satisfaction. As such and after careful consideration, we have decided not to enter into a paint contract with Mr. and Mrs. ******. We appreciate Mr. and Mrs. ******'s understanding.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

I guess since Progressive called and made appointment, came to house, made proposal, and the refused to honor their proposal even though I wanted to go ahead, I have no choice but to accept their inability to perform up to their own standards. We did not enter into any binding contract, therefore I lost nothing other than my time. I. just wanted to make you aware of this companies lack of ethics, since they are so very proud of your endorsement.
