I called my insurance company to make sure their doctors were coved under the new benefit. My insurance reviewed all the information and the doctor's name were covered under the benefit. My son had an appointment with his doctor, and we received a $215.00 bill from the clinic. I called the clinic, and they said my kids' doctor was not under our benefits. I called my insurance, and we had a 3-way call and we figured out the clinic chose to charge under a different code and not under the doctor's. I discuss the fact that the doctor is covered under my insurance and my insurance confirmed that the doctor is supposed to be covered. However, the clinic did not accept because they said the charge all the doctors together with a different code and do not want to charge the doctor's individually. Therefore, I will not pay for something that should be covered under my insurance and they chose to charge under a different code. If the clinic want this bill to be paid, they can bill my insurance under the doctor's name and get the payment made by my insurance benefit. I will not pay anything out of pocket for a doctor that is cover under my benefit. I tried to call several times to get this adjusted without any success. Therefore, I decided to file a complaint to get this adjusted.
