Everything was great until my remodel started. Once the work was done all they wanted was money. They didn't bother to clean or go over any of the work that they basically contracted out. Plaster dumped into landscape, Sub par travertine used and already degrading in less than 6 months. Pebble very rough, missing grout and even the automation was wired incorrectly. Only way to communicate is via phone and mostly text. They use what's app to send invoices which they can delete the thread and choose not to help you if there are issues like most of the complaints here state. I have saved all the responses and all the requests for them to come fix issues with no response. I could go on and on but after an entire week of no response .....This is fair warning to anyone whom finds this. BEWARE!Tily Pools Response

My pool isn't even a year old and there's been a problem with cloudiness twice and now the vacuum is broken. While the vacuum breaking may or may not be a problem of the contractor - the communication with ****** is nonexistent, difficult and immature. My tenant has contacted him and I contacted him repeatedly about the recent problems. The self-filling pool - equipment that he installed, has not been filling the pool properly. It was very low and the motor laboring hard. I had to beg him to respond. He only responded after I wrote that I may involve the contractors registers. I told him I'm willing to pay for an emergency visit, but he insisted that they will take care of it only during the regularly scheduled visit. At that time, he said that the vacuum broke. Why didn't he say anything earlier? He noted that it was not an item he replaced and to buy a new one will cost $570. When I told him that I thought it was due to low water, he sent a text back "ha, ha, ha, ha ha. Low water has nothing to do with the vacuum..." Why is a system of self-filling isn't working is beyond me. When I contact him, he doesn't respond. He resigned from servicing the pool. You would think that someone who remodeled the pool would have certain affinity to making sure that it works properly.I'm a U.S. military veteran in my 70s, and I'm heartbroken that after paying nearly $20,000 I'm kicked to the curb with no guarantees that what he installed and the work he did would work. Now I have to look for someone else to take care of the pool and fix the vacuum motor. I let go of a good guy who took care of the pool before, because ***** Pool convinced me that they will be better to service a pool the remodeled, but words are meaningless.Tily Pools Response

Hello, good morning, I am very sorry for your bad experience with us, but from the beginning we have always been very responsible when it comes to our work.Unfortunately, we cannot help you with things that are beyond our control, for example, the automatic cleaner of your pool. We never charge you anything extra, all our work has been honest and we have been very punctual when it comes to doing our job. By the way also every time you contact me you may not answer you moment but I always answer you in less than 24 hours but in the same way we have always been trying to work with you despite the difficulties that are not in our controlReview from Michael N.

Tily pools has done work for us over 5 years between pool cleaning and major construction. They restored 2 pools for ** and overall has done a great job.Over the years pool techs have changed from time to time. In the last year we have been running into issues with algae growing and leaks in the sand filter that have happened multiple times where they haven't been address till I had to reach out to ask why it's leaking and no one Addresses it till I reach out to you to ask? When you pay to have then come once a week 4 times a month begs the question. When I asked about algae the owner says "the pool is clear and he doesn't see an issue." This was via text and didn't even return my call. Then he suggests the sand filter sand has to be changed, and the pool needs to be drained and acid washed in JUNE. Almost all pool service companies stop draining pools in April due to the heat and the plaster being damaged by the heat. This was going to cost almost $1k!Doubting the guidance we called 2 other pool companies and tested the water. They said the ** is way too high, and there was almost no chlorine and need phosphorus to prevent algae from growing. Keep in mind we don't use the pool much, there are no trees anywhere, and the entire pool system is completely remodeled. The new pool company treated the pool with the chemicals necessary and within 2 days all the algae was gone and looks perfect. So instead of spending $1k in unnecessary work, and risk damaging the plaster in the middle of summer. The new service company also saved us $50 a month. We asked tily pool to refund ** half the month for service that wasn't rendered and haven't heard back after asking. Construction wise we were overall pleased with their work, pool maintenance wise we would not recommend them. All I can do is share my experience at this point.Tily Pools Response

We canceled our monthly pool service 1 week into the month of June and asked for half a month refund of $70. I have paid you monthly through venmo for years and can be sent immediately and it is almost 1 month later and STILL have not the funds. Please make me whole so I can close the door on this experience.Review from PAUL W

They started the dig June 9th, was done by Sept 3rd! They communicated extremely effectively and the work was really great quality - even the city inspector was impressed with the quality. Most pool companies out there try to sell you at every step of the way but these guys are just professional pool builders and cleaners, not salesmen. They also went out of their way to do extra work at material cost to make our back yard look the way we wanted.
