We hired ****** ***************************, the owner of MAGMA Total Remodeling/Magma Store & Services/My Kitchen *******, to complete a kitchen remodel in our new home. Although initially optimistic, he quickly proved problematic as he was a no-show for starting the project, sent staff who had no idea what to do, ordered the wrong materials, rarely communicated with us, and ultimately bailed on the project and kept our deposit. We filed a complaint with the **** but, because the one hour of demo work his crew completed was structurally sound, they lamented that there was nothing they could do. We're now approaching legal effort against him, but thought it best to start with BBB. We want to recoup the money in our deposit, of course, but we also want to make sure he does not ******* any other clients in the future. Looking across his business reviews on ******* it appears this has happened many times.Is there any way you can help? I'd be happy to provide any details or documentation you might need. In the meantime, I've attached the demand letter that ROC recommended we send to him. We sent it in November, certified mail, and never heard back. He's also ignored our efforts to contact and work with him on a settlement directly.
