Date of Service: January 22, 2022 Customer: *********************, ********************* Invoice Number: 00****-*****; Order Number: ***** Service Technician: ********************************* On January 22, 2022 at approximately 1:50pm we dropped of our 2013 ********** Passat at Big O Tires Store #**** for an oil change and tire rotation. At approximately 4:45pm we received a call from Big O Tires that our car was ready for pick up. About 10 minutes later we arrived at Big O Tires to pick up the car, however, the vehicle would not turn on. We ask for a jump start and that didn't work. When we requested to speak to a technician who worked on our car we were told he had left for the day but that he was told by the technician that the lights were left on they had to jump start the car to get it out of the shop area to the parking lot. After purchasing an new battery and testing the alternator the car still would not turn on. We had it towed to our residence since Big O Tires told us it was not their problem. On January 23, 2022 I, ********************* called Big O Tires at 10:43am and spoke directly to ********************************* about why our car would not start. ******* admitted that when he was working on the car, he left the light on and when "they" jump started the car they put the cables on incorrectly and didn't know what damage the car could have sustained. A new alternator was purchased and placed and it still didn't work. A new fuse was purchased and it has been determined that the vehicle didn't turn on because of damage sustained because of the incorrect cables being used. I have tried to resolve this with Big O Tires and they don't want to be liable. We have spent over $700 and I am looking for a resolution to a mistake that was made by Big O Tires.Business response

on January 22, 2022 ********************* came in for a oil change on their VW Passat we went to bring vehicle in to service bay and it would not start technician ********************************* came inside and notified **** that vehicle would not start and battery was dead. **** called the customer and informed him that car battery was bad and had to be jump started and that we could replace battery for ****** plus labor which is ****** customer refused battery said was under warranty and would take care of it him self that he was aware since he had to jump start in the morning to get it to us for service. we offered to do electrical system test which would test battery, alternator and starter for *****, customer again refused and said he knew what was wrong. we performed oil change and again hat to jump the car to park after work was completed. technician told customer lights were left on and were on auto so maybe that's why we had to jump start, he never said anything was hooked up wrong on their vehicle we told her vehicle wouldn't stay running unless jumper pack attached to battery. We caused no damage to vehicle, problem was there when vehicle brought in.
