On 5/30/2024 my car was picked up by DV Towing and taken to their Maryland impound yard for 20 days. My husband was promptly there and paid the $614.16 on day 20. My husband was ****** off at me and asking what happened to my car, he thought i had lied and was in an accident. The front end looked like it had been impaled with something and he said it was driving really terrible. We went back immediately! The woman employee didn't know what I was talking about and knew nothing about any damage to my vehicle. I filled out a complaint form and was told to call back on Monday. We only took the car as far as a friends house about a mile away and after examining the car closer, it was discovered that the passenger side tire didn't turn at all and the steering wheel was clearly misaligned. It wasn't safe to have driven it any where or at all. They let him drive away in an unsafe vehicle and almost caused problems in our marriage by nothing being said or documented about the damage. I got a speeding ticket, not in an accident. My car isn't fancy or new but it wasn't an eyesore either and it was runnung great until it got to that place. On Monday I finally spoke to ****** the claims mgr., who at first claimed no knowledge of any damage and refused to give me any contact info for the owner. Then further into the call, he suddenly admitted that yes, the truck driver had "scratched" my bumper and then something about the missing ***** emblem, but that that was the extent of damage. Wrong. So he would tell the owner about it....I paid for a tow truck, took it for an estimate and had the mechanical repair part done for $650. The mechanic said the damage looked like it was from a forklift, which is used to move cars in impound. Estimate total was *******. Finally 7/5/24, on one of my calls , ****** gave up the owner name and number, acting like he already had. No, I would have remembered. I call ******, texted him photos per his request. and haven't been able to reach him since!

I was in a car accident and my vehicle was totaled and towed by dv towing all of my fiancs work tools were in the vehicle as well as well as a $1200.00 car stereo. We went to pick up our property that same day and they made us jump through hoops to get it finally when we were allowed to everything was missing car stereo ripped out of dash all tools gone and even the catalytic converter was missing from the car. I asked them about it and was told the stuff might have been shoveled up with the wreckage debris from the accident which I cant believe the audacity of them to even insult us like that and use that obvious lie. I mean cmon the stere didnt rip itself from the dash and get shoveled into the trash along with the catalytic converter or numerous tools in tool bags and numerous ********* cordless m18 tools totaling approximately $4000.00

I was involved in an accident 12/1/2021 My registration expired the day before on 11/30. I let DV towing take my car because it was my first accident and i wasnt sure if i could drive it home. The next day i came in to get my car and was told that i couldnt because my registration wasnt current. After weeks of proving my multiple forms of ownership they still wouldnt let me retrieve my car or any of my belongings. I got a 30-day registration to make it current, they told me i needed the title of the car to make that valid. I provided the contract i had with my bank (the lein) because i didnt have the title yet (i was financing the car) and still wouldnt let me get my stuff or my car. After 30 days they filed an abandoned vehicle claim on my car and not even a couple weeks later they sold my car in an auction for $600. I was in the office every single day trying to figure out how i could get my car back but they sent me in loops. Telling me to go get a vehicle summary from a DMV which i did and then turn that down as well. Im only 21 and dont have the money to get a lawyer but i know this is robbery. I provided multiple forms of ownership and was told different answers by people in their office. They did nothing to help me but only send me circles and watch me cry in their office from the mere frustration. I dont have a car anymore. I still have to make monthly payments to that loan while someone is driving my car out there. I need help. During this time i tried contacted the police station but never got help, just told to call numbers that would never answer. I even tried to get an officer down to the towing yard but wasnt successful. Ive looked at all the *** codes and i know what theyre doing is against the law and im sure Im not the first person to experience this. I have documents to support the proof i was proving.

On 12/1/21, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident on 19th Ave just north of *************. I was not at fault. My registration expired 11/30/21 and my accident was 12/1/21. When I attempted to retrieve my car and my personal belongings, I was told I would need current registration or the title to the car. I do not have a title as the car is newer and I have a promissory note with Navy ********************* they are the lienholder. I was initially told by DV Towing that I could get a 30-day registration and/or a title summary from ***. When I returned with a 30-day registration, which is recognized as current registration, I was told they would not accept it. I attempted to get a title summary 4 different times but on the fourth time learned that the *** changed their systems and they cannot provide a title summary for my car which was purchased in 2019. The systems changed in 2020. Instead they provided me with a Title and Registration Application which clearly shows me as the owner of the car with Navy ******************** as the lienholder. I took this in with my 30-day registration and the promissory note between myself and NFCU PROOF OF OWNERSHIP and was still denied access to my vehicle and my belongings. We cannot get registration because the car is totaled and it requires emissions testing. I cannot get a title because there is a lien on the car. DV Towing knows this. They also applied for an abandoned title within days of my accident as they know the car still has value. They are taking advantage and knowingly stealing my personal belongings, and my vehicle. I have proven ownership as required by law. I have attached everything I have provided to DV Towing to this letter so you can clearly see that I am the owner of this vehicle and they are violating the laws. (See ARS 28-4842 Section E) I am desperate and with them having applied for an abandoned vehicle title despite knowledge of my efforts to claim my vehicle and belongings. Please help.
