      I bought a 2016 scion frs from them on 01/14/2023 it broke down within 15 miles and I was left stranded on the side of the highway at night. It also had no running headlights. I was told all of it would be fixed and given an iou, They had it there in their shop for 23 days and I was given the vehicle back as they said it was fixed. It still didnt have lights I didnt get any paperwork and then it broke down again within 5 miles leaving me stranded on the side of the highway at night yet again. They told me they would refund me and cancel the contact but have not done either they attempted to give me $2,700 but I paid $3,400 so I did not take it. I also personally called the finance company to try to cancel the contact but they need diagnostics on the vehicle to do that and I have not been given that nor has the dealer tried to do it on their own. I have payments due tomorrow for the vehicle that I have not seen in over a week nor do I have keys for it and the dealer has now blocked my phone number so I cannot contact them. The stress and anxiety this has caused me as well as the physical danger is outrageous and awful and I just need it fixed.

      We apologize for the difficulties you experienced with your 2016 Scion FRS, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We understand that you purchased the vehicle on 01/14/2023 and that it experienced issues soon after. We would like to clarify that we offered to fix the vehicle and we did on every occasion.
      We regret that despite our efforts to repair the vehicle, it still did not meet your expectations. However, we would like to note that we offered you the option to return the vehicle, and you agreed to this. We also informed you that there would be fees associated with the return, which you agreed to. The amount that we refunded you was based on the down payment you made, minus the fees that we incurred.
      We have already canceled the contract with the lender, and we have provided them all the information to process that cancellation.
      We would like to clarify that the warranty on the car was honored, and we are sorry for not meeting you expectation on repair timelines for the vehicle.
      We understand that the vehicle was a manual car, and it was your first time driving a manual car, which contributed to the issues you experienced. Nevertheless, we are committed to providing a positive experience for our customers and apologize for any stress or anxiety that this may have caused you.

      I appreciate your response but it is not accurate. The car broke down within 20 miles and 1 hour of purchasing, yes you did try to fix it but it took a month to repair yet when it was given back to me it was still not in running order as it broke down within 5 miles and it still did not have working headlights. I had no choice at that point but to return the vehicle and was not informed of the fees until I was handed a check, I was within the lemon law 3 days when the car broke down as well as it states I will receive a full refund in your contract. My driving ability has nothing to do with the vehicle problems, and it is not my first time driving a manual car. I still expect to receive the missing $700 refunded to me as it states in your contract.

      After reviewing your complaint, we understand that the car you purchased experienced mechanical issues shortly after the purchase. We acknowledge the frustration and inconvenience that this may have caused you.
      Regarding the fees associated with the unwind, we understand that you were not informed about them until you received the check. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused you as every lender and contract fee is different. However, please note that these fees are standard in the industry and are charged by the lender, not by us.
      The deal has been unwound and canceled with the lender per your request and approval.
      Unfortunately, we are not able to issue any refunds on fees associated with a return and contract unwinding as we the dealer are charged separate additional fees per our agreement with our lenders.
