I purchased a vehicle from this business and the day I got it, the engine light came on which I called them the same day to notify them. I took the car to my mechanic the next day to have it looked at and he rant the codes. He said the code was P2177 which indicated that it could be a number of issues. I informed the dealership and they made me an appt with their mechanic. He looked at it, said that he did not see an issue that there was a new part put in and said he would let the owner (*****) of the dealership know. I went to the dealership because they had not given me the paperwork that I signed and the owners son took the car for a drive, with me, and was going almost 90 mph in a 35 mph. I was scared out of my mind as if any car pulled out I could have been killed. I told him to slow down and I was scared. He said that is how they test their cars. He looked at the code issue and said he thought it was the gas cap being lose and they would order me one. Never did. I bought a gas cap (OEM from dealer) and nothing changed. The light kept coming on. Took it to another mechanic and had it diagnosed. They said I needed to get an OEM part as the one that was put in was cheap and aftermarket. If that did not fix the issue then it could be something more. I called the dealership and they said they would call me back twice (****) and nothing. Today the care stalled again for the 2nd time while driving and it said it was a gearbox issue that flashed on the dashboard. My son was driving and he was so scared. I called the dealership and they keep saying they will fix the issues and call me back but they do not do anything. Just give me excuses that they have COVID and/or employees have quit and short staffed, etc. I asked to speak to the owner but still, nothing. I either need the issue fixed or I would like to return the car as this issue was identified from day one and they knew about it as the codes were cleared 4 times.Business response

We ordered and paid for the part to repair this issue, the customer requested that her own mechanic install the part. We agreed to do this to accommodate the customer, as far as we know the part is at her mechanic and is waiting to be installed and we have agreed to pay her mechanic for the install. We have been in communication with the customer via text and she is aware that she needs to take the vehicle to her mechanic, the customer told us that she was out of town till Feb 8th.
