Two years ago on May 28 2021, my cat had a complete mouth extraction done (meaning all of his teeth were extracted for medical reasons.) I was told dental radiographs would be done and I was charged $90 for them. Now, two years later, my cat developed stomatitis (inflammation in his mouth) which the dental specialist said could be caused by a retained tooth root. She asked me if pre and/or post-radiographs were done. I told her yes to the *** extraction radiographs, but I was unsure about the POST radiographs. I called The Pet Wellness Center where the original procedure was done to get copies of the radiographs. They told me they were taken but the actual radiographs are missing and cannot be found. There is also NO evidence in the medical record that radiographs were ever done. I asked for a refund and I was told a manager would have to handle that. The manager said she would continue to try to track down the radiographs and would get back to me. A week later, with no call from the manager, I called about the radiographs. **** told me the manager is unable to speak to me and would not be calling me back. The receptionist who I spoke to said she is certain pre and post-radiographs were done on my cat but they would not be able to send me them because they were lost and there was nothing they could do. Now, I will have to have those radiographs redone by another doctor with an enormous expense attached to that procedure.
