On August 9, 2023 the amount of ******** was charged to my **************** Card by Sedona -Rent-a Jeep. An email was sent to indicated process of payment without any notification for the charge. Our original rental from Sedona-Jeep Rental was concluded on April 2nd, 2023. An attempt to contact the company was made via phone and email. multiple times on 8/9/2023, 8/10/2023, and 8/11/2023 without response or success. This charges comes following the original rental agreed charge of ****** on 3/9/2023, and a security deposit charge of ****** on 4/2/2023, and a "damage charge" of ******* on 4/6/2023. The damaged charge has been disputed as the company has not provided adequate information or evidence that damage has occurred. Their was a pervious BBB complaint made regarding the 4/6/2023 charge of ******* to which there was no response from the company and their BBB rating was downgraded. There both charges on 4/6/2023 and 8/9/2023 have been disputed with ****************. There is not a solution to either of these disputes to this date.Initial Complaint

Company charged above and beyond rental fee due to alleged damage due to mud on the vehicle at return. Have tried to contact company for resolution with no response. Contract only states a $100 cleaning fee. Company is trying to charge over $8000 for the alleged damages. We do not think the alleged damage warrants the total to amount to $8,807.23. 1. There was confusion around the drop-off and return events of the rental. Directions were not given for return at the time of drop-off but instead were emailed during our rental period. The importance of washing the mud off to avoid damage was not stated during the drop-off or within the rental return email. Your company was contacted several times regarding return during the rental period and no mention of directions to fill gas tank and wash vehicle were made. 2. As we accept that the vehicle was not topped off with gas nor washed prior to return, it is unreasonable to expect mud to cause permanent damage to the fender or soft top. The soft top was down for most of the day prior to any muddy areas. Therefore little to no mud would have been on the soft top.Cleaning fees per the rental contract are only $100 ************ (on receipt/contract): " The items are charged due to complete damage from stains and edging. The mud has high iron content, which eats the finish if not removed quickly. The customer neglected to wash the mud off, leaving it stained and damaged. The Jeep will need a buff and protection coat applied, which will cost 3 days of downtime and rental income, along with replacement of bestop and fender flares.
