Signed contract to build patio with kitchen and pergolas on 4/23/22 and received building permit on 5/26. Contractor (***************************, DBA Texas Star Builder) started project. Foundation passed inspection on 6/23/22. Pergolas were built and then had to be rebuilt in August because they did not hold up in **************************************************************************************** was *************** had to be redone to pass inspection because plumbing lines were damaged when pouring concrete and sleeves had to be added to meet building code. **** was given $5000 he requested to pay trades in Aug. He did not pay subcontractor A & L Electric $3500 and we had to pay the plumber $1300. The last time the contractor was on property was 10/5 and his representative picked up a check for stepping stones on 10/7. We got an email on 10/23 saying he had personal problems with his son and he didnt know when he could work on project. Additional emails/texts have responded This is an automated response: Thank you for contacting us. We have received your email and will respond as soon as possible. . We sent a registered letter and an email on Nov 9 to inform him he was in breach of contract and have gotten no response.
