My fianc and I booked this venue on 9/14/20 for 150. Everything was going smoothly no issues until the evening of 8/12/21, 65 days from our wedding, we received a call from ******** stating they would have to cancel our wedding because of the tribe. ******** offered us a friends 150 acre property further from the agreed upon venue, not the same services we agreed and paid for, there was no extra charge which in fact was wrong, now had to pay for their bar package, ******** said if we chose to not take the new location we would receive our full refund of $3000 at no penalty which we had already paid, we would not receive the $1000 nonrefundable deposit per venue cancellation. On 8/17/21 we contacted ******** and told her we had a few days to think about it and we have agreed that we would not want to move our venue location, cut our guest list to an unrealistic amount 15. As of 8/18/21 ******** is now stating we only get 50% of the money we have paid, reschedule or move locations.Business response

We are sorry that due to the increase of infections of the Covid-19 virus, at this time we have to decrease the size of events.This was mentioned in the Venue Agreement as a possibility as was the Cancellation Policy.At this time the options available are:1.Continue with the scheduled event with a reduce number of guests2.Reschedule the event to a later available date3.Cancel the event and adhere to the cancellation policyThis is the best we can offer and hope that you will reconsider and not cancel your event and choose the options available,Sicerely,****** * ******** **********

Dear ******** and NomanWellington
Per the above correspondence, and the lack ofprofessionalism on behalf of Wellington Ranch. **** and ****** would now like thefull money paid to Wellington Ranch in the amount of $4,000 due to breach ofcontract. On Thursday August 12th, 2021 ******** Wellington(********) verbally canceled **** and ******* wedding, now voiding theprevious signed contract. When the current contract was verbally voided by LorraineWellington (********), there was not a new contract drafted nor was anycommunication stating **** and ****** had a certain date to give decision onwhether to move the wedding to ************ or take their $3,000 back. There isno policy put into place by Wellington Ranch that penalizes the purchasingparty if in fact the vendor cancels.A dispute has been filed with the Financial Intuition and is being investigated. I have been contact with two attorney's.

We have not canceled your wedding day, it is still available.
We called you to let you know what the status is with the increase in the Covid-19 Virus at this time as the Tribe has reduced the number of persons allowed for gatherings, but that things can change by your wedding date. This was mentioned in the Venue Agreement as a possibility as is the Cancellation Policy.
We did discuss by phone that we would need to review the agreement and adhere to the cancellation policy if you decided not to proceed and cancel.
There are options available so you do not have to cancel your date.
At this time the options available are:
1.Continue with the scheduled event with a reduce number of guests
2.Reschedule the event to a later available date
3.Cancel the event and adhere to the cancellation policyAs a courtesy, we did offer an additional option not included in the original agreement, of a new location with same date and same number of guests as before if you would like to consider this option let me know as soon as possible.
This is the best we can offer and hope that you will reconsider and not cancel your event and choose the options available.

Hello,
I have spoken to an attorney, please refund **** and I the full amount of $4,000 no later than September 7th,2021. If the full amount of $4,000 is not refunded by September 7th, 2021 legal action will be taken.
