Feb 22, 2021 Trinadad Tax provided me with service to prepare and file my taxes. Art was doing them for me. I had installed solar at my house the previous year so i wanted to claim them for the tax credit. he told me "Ohh you make too much to receive any kind of credit for that!" he refused to even enter the information in. Feb 20, 2024 I contacted Trinadad Tax to help with an amendment to the 2020 tax year because it was a mistake not to claim them and i did qualify for the tax break on the solar. Kat is the one who i spoke to over the phone and gave her all the information for the amendment. It increased my return by $3752. I asked if the cost was going to be $150 and she said "No, I wont charge you that much. it will be around $60". I gave her my credit card information over the phone. Later that day my card was charged for $103. Feb 23, 2024 I had an appointment to prepare my taxes with Kat. I had a 1099 R, that was a conversion from traditional IRA to a Roth IRA. Cat said my CPA did the 1099 wrong and she filed it as an early withdrawal which incurred a penalty for an early withdrawal from retirement account of $4583 Which in return lowered my return by that amount. Feb 26, 2024 I returned to the business after talking to my CPA about the mistake that was made. I spoke with Kat and Art and they both said that my CPA was still wrong but the would enter it in like i wanted but "it would cost me more money". she tried and entering it in a different way and it didn't change anything. I got fed up and revoke my permission for them to file it and asked for a refund and art said "Hell no!" So I fired them and walked out the door!
