***************** is claiming I owe an old debt.with Citibank - Citibank has no record of it and it is NOT on any credit report they are harassing me , my elderly father and my ex husband about a bogus debt.Initial Complaint

Company called me, leaving a message that I needed to call them regarding legal documents. The company called several family members letting them know that I needed to contact them. I return call and was bullied into thinking that I was being sued for **** for a credit card from 2010. I stated that Im not aware of this but the lady stated that if I didnt take care of it that they could do a lien on my home and car. They sent me a settlement agreement, stating that if I settled that they would remove the suit against me. Im a pretty honest person and want to do the right thing. They stated that the credit card was on my credit until 2020. It wasnt until I got home that I realized this date was not possible. This made me research the company and realize they are scammers. Ive cancelled my bank card info and froze my credit to ensure no other fraud. They threatened and lied to try to get me to pay a debt that is not mine. Did not provide any information on the debt.Initial Complaint

On 9/20/2023 at 2:28 pm, ***** from Jacobs, Alexander and Associates a debt collection company called my son ***** from a skip tracing number ************. ***** stated to my son that I gave them permission to contact my son by secondary contact phone number. This is a complete lie by ***** from Jacobs, Alexander and Associates. When my son called me and relayed the message with a phone number, I immediately called them *********************) and spoke with *****. ***** stated that they were hired by ***** to retrieve a balance of ******** owed from the late 90s. I told ***** that was included in my bankruptcy in the late 90s. I asked ***** to give me times, dates, paperwork, etc. ***** said she would via email. When i looked at my email, the only thing she sent was a settlement agreement. Obviously, this company has not done their homework before making this false allegation. This is harassment and this company has violated the **** and FDCPA laws. This company cant even provide me any information to prove there claim. Therefore, I dont owe any money to *****. ***** is NOT on any of my credit reports
