Purchased a vehicle from jeep (********************* in **** **. purchased additional warranty protection. Car purchased in 2020, factory warranty expired due to mileage over *****. CNA warranty purchased was Lifetime coverage except for ware items (tires, wipers, maintenance, etc) car stopped running. Diagnosis was bad computer board, battery, and fuel injection). Total bill $1150 dollars not covered under warranty. The computer board installed caused the key fobs not to work. They did cover one with some push, but would not replace the other. Cost $225+programing cost. The part was a jeep part. Was told that there was a legal clause saying if a part was installed that caused other parts to become inoperable it would be my responsibility. This was not after mkt parts, it was a jeep part that caused keys to be inoperable. No other product, repairs or after market parts were NEVER installed. Their repair caused the deactivation of my key fobs. I was told I would have to pay. Review: a covered warranty repair, with factory jeep parts, installed by jeep dealer, caused keys not to work, and warranty would not cover both of the keys that were purchased with the vehicle. No additions were ever installed or added to the vehicle. I could see if I installed multiple after market parts, additions that could cause this but I did not. They should cover both keys/fobs. The manager was able to pay for additional key out of their coffers but should be covered under warranty. Any reimbursement should be paid to the Jeep dealer where I serviced my vehicle, Jeep dealer in ******, **Business response

I have a part that is described to me by the dealership as a faulty check valve. CNA is stating they won't cover the repair due it being described as a hose. The representative at CNA even agreed with me when I said this could be looked at as a hose with a check valve or a check valve with a hose. Per my dealership, the hose has not failed, but the check valve has.Initial Complaint

Purchased extended warranty with vehicle in March 2020 to cover till ******. Recent service at approved repair shop for coolant leak on Oct 18, 2021 because it over heated. Took back to repair shop within 3 days because it iver heated again and was told head gasket problem. CNA wanted repair shop to breakdown the engine so they would know what all needed replaced. Well, the engine is torn down and the Shop tells me that warranty company is to send out an adjuster to confirm issue. How long does it take for an adjuster to come out and make a decision? The car is a 2015 Buick Encore. Had ****** on it when purchased and is at ****** now. Public transportation not available for where I work at acceptable times. Rental car is too expensive for me to pay upfront. I financially cannot afford too much out of pocket without digging ***** retirement money. One of the reasons for going with CNA was hearing good things about them. My finance company, ************ approved of them as well. If they call me, they have to leave a message but I can and will call back. Ive been without transportation since Oct 21, 2021.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. This is the most communication anyone has provided to me since beginning this process. If someone had communicated better in the beginning, then I would not have perused this route. I made calls to CNA trying to find out information. The individual I spoke to named ****** told me they hadnt heard from the repair shop, when in fact, based on their response they had. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
Regards,
